In 1988 the Volkswagen plant in Hannover had a special workshop called the KD-Werkstatt.
This is where Transporter customers could special order any Transporter to meet their specific needs.
The KD-workshop produced a handful of these specially equiped Syncro doublecabs called the "Jagdwagen".
The "Jagdwagen" in english means "Hunt car" . That is exactly what it is, a doublecab, with every option you would need to go hunting with safety and comfort in mind.

The most obvious accessory you notice is the exterior roll cage. This is actually a brush gaurd to help navigate through densely forested areas.
The spare tire mounts in the bed, along with a Nato fuel can.

Rare factory sunroof installed as an option.

Factory winch option with special cover.

Very rare gun locker that is mounted in the treasure chest.

In 1988 this truck was partially assembled and shipped to Austria to have its Syncro components installed by Styer-Puch. Once completed it was sent back to Hannover for the "Jagdwagen" build.
This particular Jagdwagen was registered and used by Volkswagen for it's first three years of service.

Rear seating option was to have two individual swiveling seats with under seat storage.
Notice also the storage behind the rear seat.

Sliding rear windows and optional map pocket for the passenger door. M-code 643

Front and rear locking differentials.

Very rare Jagdwagen sales brochure.
