Interior Plans

ODDS & ENDS=Interior
-**Rubber storage trays; between shifter and e-brake console, and one for behind the "cupholders" -They'll suffice until I finish construction of the new console.
-**LED dome lamp replacement-**it does provide more light than the stock halogen bulb, but the entire car is a blue hue now. It's better once you get used to it.
-**Fish eye side mirrors. It's a curved mirror that attaches via supplied double sided tape to your stock mirrors. The curved reflection DOES take some getting used to, but all in all the convex reflection is much better. I don't have to twist my head around to check my blind spots to merge anymore. -These are a temporary solution until i find a larger set of mirrors to retrofit.
-**Reconstruction of the headliner to eliminate the stock rearview mirror with a larger unit that mounts higher. Hide-a-way sun visors. Eliminating the digital clock.
-**I'm going with an all new reconstructed dash.  Moving the Speedometer and Tach, Relocating the vent locations and HVAC controls.
-**Getting rid of the toggle switch bar. Moving the window control toggles to the reconstructed driver door panel, and passenger control toggle for the passenger door.  Moving the door lock toggle and rearview mirror to the driver door also.

-**New TMS Carbon Fiber shift knob.
-**If possible I'm going remove the shifter/cupholder housing and cut the cupholders off then make a new fiberglass housing with a storage compartment where the cupholders used to be, then either paint it, or have it sent off and get a carbon fiber sheet vacu-formed to the shape then reinstall.

AUDIO=
_*_*
The entire stock audio system is being tossed, and the new replacement system will be completely custom.  For starters, the rear seat is getting tossed and i'm going to make my own "rear seat delete" kit out of a molded fiberglass solution. The rear plastic passenger armrest panels are also being tossed for custom fiberglass enclosures to house the amps, and new 5.5" components. (I'm not a fan of 6x9's)  I'll be completely redesigning both front door panels to something more useful and attractive, at which point I'll angle the stock speakers more toward the ears of the driver and passenger, and house the relocated mirror/door lock/window controls.  The following is what has been ordered to install.  Once all the gutting starts, all the the seats and carpet and interior panels that aren't being altered will be removed so I can apply a ridiculous amount of sound damping (I wanna hear the music, not the muffler)

-**Alpine iDA-X100 Digital Media Receiver.
-**JL Audio- Everything down the line from the  head unit will be JL Audio.
SUBS-2 8w3v1 mounted on the rear deck pillars
     AMPS-250/1v2 Class D Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier.(Subs obviously)
                   300/4v2 Class A/B Four-Channel Full-Range Amplifier(Front and Rear Components)
     Components-
TR650-CSi Component Systems (6.5" w/ tweet) up front for the bass to equal out)
All the wires will be supplied by JL Audio also.

Prestonshadu's 2004 MINI CooperCupholders be gone!  I think I'm gonna try to redesign the pillars also, and sweep them back and molded into the shifter housing....

Prestonshadu's 2004 MINI CooperPrestonshadu's 2004 MINI CooperBack Seat Be Gone!  Notice all the room for a component, sub and amp enclosure WITHOUT using the middle of the car!  The plan is the sub and mono amp with component on this side (passenger) and the other half of the component set and 4channel amp on the drivers side.  Notice the "bucket" contour of the back seat? The new fiberglass insert is going to emulate that to a degree, it's going to be designed as a rack though.

Nice start. I was wondering about the rubber mats...are they even worth it? As for agreement/disagreement you were asking for, I like the fact that there is no armrests. I find it easier to reach across the vehicle or into the back. I do wish the cupholders were bigger though. I like all the chrome you are using. I am doing a chrome/black mix. I really dig the interiors of the minis so I will only accent the interior. I do plan on adding some tv's and such on down the line though. Feel free to message me if you wanna chat about mini's. I've only had mine 2 weeks, but I have big plans for it.
