What's up everybody!  This is my new toy.  A 1966 buick skylark convertible with a stock 310 wildcat engine.  Not a racer but a great cruiser.  I just purchased it last month.  A neighor of mine owned it for 15 years and got tired of putting money into it every year.  When he put a for sale sign on it I bought it before the week was over.  I guess I was in the right place at the right time..

The body was restored around 10 years ago.  Still looks good.  Tires are good and the rally wheels look nice.   So far I've added a few things, wheel caps, battery, starter and new weathershield where it was needed.  I am currently working on the interior.  New panels all around, interior....all the good stuff.  Not that it's a giant project but I'm attempting to do it all myself, including the interior paint.  So far so good.

It's my first attempt at a restoration of any kind and it's all I can think about day and night.  I never dreamed that I would own a car like this and I'm very excited.  I will be trying to upload some pics as I continue with the process.  Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it....

Update 02/11/09

I'm finally starting to put humpty dumpty back together again.  Let me just say one thing.  Legendary Auto Interiors is outstanding.  The quality of the product is unbelievable.  The staff is fantastic and everything was finished on schedule.  Here is a list of everything I purchased from them: Front door panels, Rear door panels, Weathershields for the door panels, Door handles (4), springs(4), washers(4), Interior for the front bench seat, Interior for the Rear seat, Rear armrest panels, Upper door end caps, Ashtrays, Courtesy Lenses, Door locks and ferrules.  I also purchased a new Grant steering wheel, Infinity speakers and Paint.

With that said, I'm loving the finished product.  By doing it myself I saved around $1000.00.   That grand will be spent on a new radio, amp and subwoofer!!!  I still have to tweek a few things but so far so good.  Spring is coming and I got the fever.  I added some pics.  Check it out!!
