Background & Overview

Red300z31's 1989 Nissan 300ZX

This is my second baby, the first was a 1986 2+2 with only 86,000 miles that I lost to a car accident in November 2007. This is my new baby: a 1989 300zx NA with 170,000 miles that will, by the end of 2009, be a Turbo. I bought it in Vacaville, California in February of 08. And believe me this car was a piece of work. When I bought it it had numerous problems. It had a silver and maroon two-tone paint-job that looked like it was done in a garage. It had a dead cylinder, was missing many little parts here and there, only one head light worked, leaked from the back light seals, had a rust hole in the spare tire well, and the speakers were blown.

I have since put a lot of time, and money to save this one from the junk yard. Since then I have fixed it past the junker stage, and have started making it nice...

Page Updates:

12/27/08 - First major page change done. New pictures all around, engine, exterior, interior, so take a gander. Won't be much new stuff until the suspension gets finished & timing belt changed. Time frame- I'd say maybe in about a month.

5/17/09 - Car was down for two months due to transmission problems... I replaced the clutch fork, pivot bolt, seals, and put in a stage 2 clutch. But now it's back!!

Send me an email to: fnunez@bellsouth.net, list the stuff you want and I'll let you know what I got. I do recommend that if you are serious about making lots of horse power then get rid of the stock ECU. Sucks really bad. But I tell you something else, gets really expensive to really do it right. Depends on your budget. If you have any questions dude just ask, later...FJN.
