MAY 2009
This month I have been continuing to detail and touch up the car.
The weekend of May 24, 2009 is a local Volvo show hosted by APPCO an independent Volvo garage. Lots of old and new Volvos to check out.
JUNE 2009
Not much to report this month, mileage at 248,000 kilometres, car continues to run well. The engine and transmission oil were changed.
JULY 2009
July has arrived and the 850 has rolled 250,000 kilometres. I have detailed the interior and added some more pictures.
Not much to report this month. I attended the Canadian Volvo Club Annual picnic on July 26, 2009. Attendance was good, approximately 130 Volvos. Lots of good stuff there, including another Volvo 850 Turbo wagon with a 5 speed as well a very rare Volvo 850R wagon also with a 5 speed. Irv Gordon was there with his P1800 with now about 2.7 million miles on the odometer, amazing.
AUGUST 2009
This month I had new tires installed, General Exclaim UHP. So far I'm very pleased with them, very aggressive tread pattern, I'll be interested in seeing how they make out in the rain. Tirerack rates them highly despite the low cost.
I strapped a canoe on the roof and one of my daughters and I did a trip in the Massassauga Provincial Park near Parry Sound Ontario
I've been working on the paint, polish and two coats of wax.
