Whoa are you getting pissed or something? Sure seems like it to me, and I don't why. I was not being a dick, only telling you that your motor should not have 11:7 compression. I never said you had a type s or euro r motor, I said the type S and Euro R were the only ones to have 11:0 compression with a red and blue valve cover. Your valve cover is black, and it's an H22A, 10:6:1 compression. You can't change what honda's specs are, and if you don't believe me look it up. There is no honda H22A, or prelude motor that is 11:7:1 from the factory, NOT ONE IN ANY YEAR. The highest is 11:0. If they checked it with a compression tester and it was 11:7, then someone built your motor before you purchased it. Oh and Chuck Seitsinger does outstanding work, but does not have the worlds fastest fwd honda record.

That motor for sure does not have 11:7:1 compression ratio. I can tell that already just by looking at the valve cover. The type S's came with a red valve cover, and the euro R's had a blue one from the factory. The type S h22A's were 220hp and had 11:1 compression, the same as the euro R motor. The motor you have there is the 200hp H22A version with 10:6:1 compression.

Thanks for checking out my page and for the comment. So far my car has been beyond reliable. I have it boosted since April of 2006, and I have put on over 70,000km's(44,000) on this boosted setup with no major problems. My bottom end however is built, but the head is stock. It pulls great, and is a quick car for what it is. You say you have the h22A right, are you sure it's a EURO R motor. Those are the only h22's other then the type'S that come with over 11:1 compression. The basic 200hp H22A is a 10:6:1 compression motor, and is great for building the block because it is a closed deck design. I have seen several guys making anywhere from 250-360+whp with no problems on stock H22 motors. Anything past 370whp in my opinion is starting to push it. There are people that have done well over 400whp but they don't last to long. The people that say you can't boost a stock h22, don't have a clue on how to properly boost a honda motor. .
