1965 Ford Falcon

I am 16 years old and this is my 1965 ford falcon! I currently have 2 falcons. A 1961 4 door sedan and a this 1965 2 door sedan. I have quite alot of ideas for this car. and this is my refined ideas! when I first got the car I had a plan to build it into a sprint clone and call it a sprint sedan. which would include finding and putting on the side spears sprint emblems and other sprint stuff like the tach! the spears ant the tach are very highly priced and i dont have the money so the car has been refined to be a simple sedan hot rod. the only chrome on the car will be what ford called the illusion hard top, which is actually just clip on window chrome. also the rocker panel chrome and possibally the 289 logos just for fun. Right now the car is a 6 cylinder with an upgraded engine. which is a 200 I6 out of a 68 mustang. It has a cam in it actually which i did not put in. The newer engine i have to put in it is a 302 from a 69 wrecked mustang and not its not a boss 302 haha. the other parts i have bought to do the v8 swap is all the v8 steering components. all i am waiting on is to find a granada donor car for cheap! I mean really cheap cause im spending my money on paint. for the interoir I am going black. with futura door panels. keeping the bench seats which will go black also. for the dash i am going to switch for the full futura dash because i think it looks way better and really ties the inside together. for rims and tires I am looking for used or older torq thrust d's the ones with painted insides and bare aluminum rings. really looking for 15 by 7's. Thats about it for what i am planning for my car so heres the pictures!

-UPDATE!-

I bought some new rims the other day from a guy in nanaimo for 70 bucks! they are a real offset rim and they are 13x8. They were real dirty when i bought them but i brought them home and cleaned them up nice and they look wicked. i changed my mind from the 302 swap to keep the 200ci and do it up. I sold the 302 too fund my 200 upgrades which consist of boring the block to .060 and a hone and all that good stuff. it will have a good agressive cam and new pistons. the head will have a port and polish and 289 springs with chevrolet valves. i am constructing my own tri power set up for it and i will be posting pictures once it starts to develop more. for a transmission i am swapping in a 4 speed from a late 70's 80's mustang or capri, i just have to find out if it will work...... i got the trans free from my boss( he has three capri's not the ones that look like the mustang. i cant remember what the exact years are.)The pictures of the rear driver quarter panel look crappy because there was a huge shallow dent that ran from the wheel well almost all the way back to where the bumper would cover. i had to use filler. i hate using it, but it had to be done.

-UPDATE-

I finished body work on the other side of my car this weekend. It turned out pretty straight just like the first side did, but i have a little patching I have to do to my rear quarter panel just behind the wheel well. I just covered it with primer to keep the moisture off as much as I can. By the way it looks in the pictures it looks like im painting the car with rattle can primer but im doing it in stages. Its probably not the right way to do it but I dont have a shop or even a garage for the matter, so what ever metal i expose, it has to be covered that day. The primer I am using is called slick sand by evercoat. Its got to be the best primer I have ever used. Anyways heres the before and after pictures.-P.S. I also bought a 1973 mercury comet 4 door v8 for a parts car. Its brown with brown interior. which is in great condition. so if anyone is looking for good clean interior ( carpet, bucket seats, dash, back seat etc. please email. anything thats not driveline related is up for sale. Im reasonable too i just want it gone. also will trade with 60 to 65 falcon parts.

you should keep the six look at all the stuff i did with mine. i guarantee after i put a supercharger or after I turbo it it'll have wayy more hp than any other v8 mustang.

real nice. im saving up to get the paint for my baby now. interiors at the shop. but i have no money for her right now so im going to fix my lexus first('95 sc300) so i can get places. then im helpiing my dad with his box chevy. in miami you have to have 22's or up and im not doing that to this one so im going to ride in the box until the end of summer. when i do so i want you to come back and start checking up. i need motivation from all corners:) well kep up the progress on both your whips, theyre coming out nice. and the straight 6's in these are pretty fuel economic. and if you do drop in a turbo, you'll be pulling decent numbers. so if you alr4eady have the 6 why swap it, be original. im trying to swap for a 302, i wanted to turbo it too, but in between the 50 swap and the turbo ill be bankrupt for the rest of my life:)lmao.

This is Does10s with the turbo'd Inline six Falcon. KEEP THE SIX! Add a turbo and you won't be sorry. Everybody does the V8 swap. It's boring! A high power six is way more fun! We're making 323hp and 502lb/ft of torque at the tires. Later, Will

Hey.... I think you are out of luck as far as the Fairlane spindles go. If your goal is to convert the car over to a 5 lug setup and disc brakes, the easiest bolt on application would be from the Ford Granada or Lincoln Versailles. I also believe you need the rims for the tires with that application also. It would also be best to add a power booster if you are going to disc brakes unless you have some real strong legs. I have a rear end out of a 1968 Fairlane in my car. It's a heavier duty unit than the original Falcon rear. That swap was done before I bought the car so I don't know if they had to shorten the shafts. It's also very low geared so my car jumps off the line but it tops out around 85 miles per hour. I would strongly recommend against using the 260 V8. You can pick up a 302 just about anywhere on the cheap and get alot more horsepower for your money. Keep me posted on how things are going!
