Welcome to my ZJs page. (a work in progress.... The page & the ZJ)
Stock flex, sway bars still attached, 31" tires & no rub.
I guess it's about time I told a little about it:
Well, it's originally from San Bernardino, California.... With only two previous owners :) It's been wheelin' at Moab, Glamis, etc., with one of the previous owners (Moab's rocks caused the dents on the passenger's side rocker panel) When I bought it, it had been sitting for about one year here in Canada without being driven.... Fired right up with a boost & pulled itself up onto the trailer, but blew a trans line in the process. After I got her home, it was time to fix the trans line & take it in to see what would be required to pass the safety inspection & emission test.... Nothing, really :) It passed the safety needing only a rear window wiper, & passed the e-test with flying colours! Not bad for a $350 truck :) It has no rust other than the dented rocker panel, not even the undercarriage.... It's clean.
Then it was on to a lift kit.... I started with a Rusty's Off Road 3" lift & I hated it so much, I almost got rid of the truck many times.... Awful handling, badly measured parts, etc.... & when I called Rusty's to make it right, they got mouthy & told me there was no way it was their parts, it HAD to be my truck..... Bullshit. A truck in mint condition doesn't have fitment problems like that. So I then decided "to hell with Rusty's & their shoddy craftmanship"
I then bought a Rubicon Express 3.5" superflex kit....
I haven't had a problem since....
It was my truck, eh, Rusty's???? No, I don't think so.
Anyway, before I end up ranting about how much I'd like to shut Rusty's down for the bullshit they put me through (6 months worth of shop visits on tow trucks because I couldn't drive it.... So don't tell me I didn't give them a fair chance), it's been a long, bumpy road to get it this far....
But bumpy roads are where it likes to be :)
Now it has 3.5" of lift in the front & 4.5" in the rear (better for towing or driving while loaded.... Keeps the rear from sagging) & no, it's not finished yet.... LOL
Not even close!
I'll add more as I go, but I want to thank everyone for the supportive comments & ratings, it's all very much appreciated.... I've seen some of the incredible rides on this site, so for me to get a compliment, it puts a huge smile on my face! Thank you all! & keep up the amazing work everyone!
