And some pictures taken on week 5;
I like BIG FAT ASS making this Miata 7cm wider than a 2009 SRT10 Dodge VIPER !

Rear deflector will be installed in carbon fiber...

We see here first time with a little finition the Corvette Side pannels...

And the overview of the project after 5 weeks of work;

THIS WAS IN THE BEGINING: FIRST WEEK !

Chevy LS6 Miata project unfinished. Lots of pictures and videos comming soon...
Okay, it's always encourraging to see people react so fast...
The wheels are 12 inches wide in rear and 10 front, actually I have 275 wide in the back, I plan to go a little wider than 295...
The engine came out of a 2005 accidented Cadillac CTS-V, so it's going to have a 400HP LS6 with a 5 speed manual transmission. Mechanic will be done after the body because of a show I have to go in April...
Here a link where I posted a video of the bodywork, started last week.

Here a picture taken last week, please be gentle on comments, IT IS NOT FINISHED AT ALL !!!

On the sides, there will be Kevlar to cover mufflers and an old 65 style corvette design just started here... I've always liked thos vettes :) !

Project is going very fast, I will have new pictures and videos next week...
Thank you in advance for all those constructive comments !
Here a new image of the first idea of what the front end will look like. It's been inspired from the Lancer EVO and a bit of the old AC Cobra and new Audi. It's unfinished for sure, just giving the rough lines of the future look.

Here is a more complete view of the car, Jim doesn't know exactly still how to cover the mufflers...
Never thought the wheels would be wider than the pipes... haha !
New pics tomorow,,, with new frot wheels hopefully !!! these old ones doesn't fit there at all :)

WEEK 3
The project is growing fast, here the new front comming up. Still not finished but you can see the EVO style with personalised design taking form...

Here is the rear part inspired by the old VIPERS, finally, we've got exactly 6 inches wider EACH SIDE in the rear and 4inches per side wider in the front, here what it look like:

Inspiration from the 65 Corvette you can see the sides really well here with the door handle 50% hidden... Hover the pipes comming next week, amayzing idea to come... :)

And a complet view of the car as it is for now... Camaro SS hood scoop comming soon!

WEEK 4 video, just added the Camaro SS style hood scoop for V8 lovers :) !
http://www.bfamus.tv/watch.php?mdid=3919&t=Widebody+Miata+VEight+week+4
This picture is showing this Camaro SS hood scoop. I've had one in 1997 and this is the who gave me this love of V8 unique sound and torque;

In this image we can see the aggresive look of the whole new design;

We can see here the finition made behind the rear wheels, if you look carefully, you will notice how the tires are streched-in because of the 12 inches mag wheels, still 275/35/18 on !!!

And finally a more overview image of the car as seen yesterday, you can see well the new hood scoop look but don't miss to view the more recent video, it's simply aesome;
