heres a few pics of the engine bay and the engine.
this is the fire wall plug i made to seal the hole where the heater used to be. i removed it to take weight off the front end. i like to use aluminum roadsign material where ever possible, its cheap ($5.00 a sign from the tuscola county road commission),lightweight, and extremely strong. note the lack off fender wells as well, this helps disapate heat from the headers, and removes even more weight from the front of the car.

i got these moroso gold anodized aluminum valve covers for free from my friend nate. they were leftover from his chevelle project. no, i didn't just paint the steel ones that came on the motor, they were way to rusty, and i wanted something lighter.
the headers are heddmans for like a '76 big block laguna. it actually took quite a bit of research to find a set of full length headers that fit this application. and we used the hoses off the 305 to link up to a 73 chevy 1-ton truck 4-core radiator.
this slick radiator cap was a birthday gift from my wife. i love it! theres a temp gauge built into the face, so you can see the difference in temp between your motor and your radiator. Mr. Gasket makesd them.
after i put a set of fenderwells back in her. "Check" them out (i'm punny).
