bbccaprice89's 1989 Chevrolet Capricethis is me and my wife kate at a spring show in frankenmuth in 2006.  this is when i still had the first paint job that her and i did. it was done in 99cent rattle can from walmart.  the top was done with a roller brush and white primer.  i got bored with it after a while.

bbccaprice89's 1989 Chevrolet Capricethis is the next incarnation of the paint job.  this is the first time kate and i painted an entire car with a roller. weve done several since, and were getting pretty good at it.  well, as goood as a $40 dollar paint job that was applied with a roller can look. i think that the secret is to use suede colors. hot rod magazine did an article on making them look really good though, gloss and all. note my hub cap collection.

heres a pic of kates sunbird that we painted with the 1/3 gallon leftover from doin the caprice.  we eventually painted a death proof skull and lightning bolts on the hood too, but its dead now. residing in the grave yard known as barnums auto parts.

bbccaprice89's 1989 Chevrolet Capricethis is how it looked like after i bolted on some old busted ass cragars.  i ran them for a little whille, but ididnt like how they were all rusty an corroded, so i painted them magnesium gray. then i got sick of those too(they rode like shit with the worn out unilugs), so now im running steelies again, but i bolt my lightweight torque thrusts on the front at the strip. note that i had gone back to the scallops also out of boredom.  after i added the big block, the cops wouldnt leave me the fuck alone so i got her all murdered out t olook less conspicuous. as you can see in the next pic.

bbccaprice89's 1989 Chevrolet Capricei think im going to keep iit this way, i like it more than my other paint jobs. plus likei said it doesnt gather as much unwanted attention. but i wouldnt mind changing the rims over to five slot mags if any body has a set that theyll sell for cheap. 15s please.
