heres my salvation for next season, a newere posi unit that actually functions! it's just a standard gm auburn style unit that was used on the 89 - 96 9c1 and 94 -96 impala SS. i got it for twenty bucks off ebay, and i'm gonna rebuild it before i use it. it came with a spare set of axles too.
heres the set of newish mickey thompson ET slicks i got off craig's list. they got run lightly for only one season, the guy told me he only made 30 or 40 passes on them. he sold them to me for just 75, which saved me like probably 200 or so over new. there 28x9.0.15s, so there pretty much the exact same size as the 275/60/15 BFGs i run right now. maybe between the slicks and posi, i can finally turn in some better ETs than the 13.98s i usually turn in. betty tends to blow the shoes off her down half the damn track, even if i get in and out of it.
i'm wondering if maybe i should have held out for something a little wider to come along.
i think i'm gonna recolor the lettering on these white, so i can see it better. that way it's easier to watch for wheelspin.
this was gonna be my christmas card. thats von dutch, best garage dog in the world, and he can drink more beer than any other dog i've ever seen! LOL! LOL!
okay, now that there mounted up, i had to find a place to keep them where i could access them at a moments notice. wanna race? just give me ten minutes.
a few shots of them mounted up on the car.
