These big Furys were among the best patrol units ever built and as a young deputy sheriff I was privileged to drive some of them. They came with the 383 Commando V-8, four barrel carb, dual exhaust and the incomparable 727 Torqueflite transmission. Bulletproof car that handled surprisingly well despite bias belted tires and drum brakes. They had no A/C and no AM radio. Power steering was an appreciated luxury.......
