Olds-Nut's 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 881973 Olds Delta 88  (a very low budget ride)

Olds-Nut's 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 This is what can be done with very little money and alot of imagination. This ride was brought to this stage with alot of swap meet parts and alot of bargan shopping for new parts. Below check out the $10 factory Olds aluminum intake puchased at a swap meet, the holley spread bore carb. was laying in my shop for 20+ years we had it rebuilt and it works fine. A used set of headers for $30 and new 2 1/2" exaust talking through a pair of flowmasters.(IT SOUNDS SO SWEET!) The big cost item was the torq thrust II wheels and 60 series tires. The total cost of the build so far is under $4,500.00 counting the purchase price of the car. In a world of big buck high dollar cookie cutter rides, I like hot rods done with a little imagination and a very limited budget. "How about you?"

Nice. I love it when someone uses more knowledge and skill than just money, especially with such an unusual ride. 5 stars for the clean look and the only '88 cowl hood I've ever seen.

A great project! I'm doing similar with my 72 "88". The 5 inch wheel pattern is hard to fit. A question: what size engine. Your using an A6 manifold? Finally what headers did you use. Are these block huggers? Karl
