This is my 1974 Dodge Challenger. I found this car sitting in a farmers field. It has been parked there since 1993 and on the property since 1988. Believe it or not, the frame and most of the body is in fairly good shape considering the circumstances. The Original colour is red and the engine is a 318. It has 119000 original KM's. I am going to rebuild the entire engine. Also, This car will be torn down right to the frame. The intention is to restore this car to its original state. She's a little rough right now, but hopefully with a little TLC, she will be like new.

This is what it looked like when I found it. Looking pretty rough, and in some need of a major restoration.

Here are a few updated pictures, the entire front end has been removed, the fenders, grill, bumper and soon the 318 engine will be pulled and the body work will begin. If anyone knows where a good place to buy a vinyl top is, please let me know.

Well, The Motor has been pulled and is it the process of being rebuilt. It is going to remain with the 318 engine. However it will be dressed up with some chrome upgrades and maybe some headers.

The repairs have started. New Inner Fenders have been ordered. New Upper and lower ball joints are on. New brakes in the works. The firewall has been sand blasted and new sheet metal applied. More updated pics to come.

Here is the firewall sand blasted, new sheet metal and primer applied. Looks alot different then when I started.

Great Find man! I know a guy who has old Challengers and Cudas and a bunch of other cars that you may be able to get parts for. Good luck with the restoration!

Nice project. Takes me back. You asked about parts: I use Summit mainly for drive-train and Year One for many of the restoration parts. There both have exceptional customer service and knowledgeable staff. However, there are many good places to get parts. You should check out www.cudachallenger.com for help. You'll always find advice from someone who's already done whatever you're trying to do and they also have a list of websites for parts and service. Check 'em out.
