very nice ride,i grew up owning mopars,,first was a 62 chrysler with push button gears,,,cant beat a challenger though,,,well cudas are great, and the 340 rules,i have 72 that i am converting to look like a 70 on the body,,i have had it since the early 80's,,have had it thru 3 marriages,,couldnt give up on the car,,i put a six pack on it and steel crank and 40 over pistons and mild cam and x-heads,, and converted it to a 4 spd ,,and did a complete restore of the car,,well still in process,,should be done this spring,,keep up the good work,,5 stars

For the person with Challenger screen name above the 71 Challenger had a option# A21 or A22 for the elastomeric bumpers. Love your old Mopar.

Wow I didnt know a lot of that, where you getting your info from? Is there a site? The only thing I dont know about is that if the rubber bumpers were on all R/T cars in 71 then why do most 71 R/Ts I see usually have chrome? Well I guess they could have been wrecked and then replaced I dont know, I guess I just dont see many haha. I look at the 71 R/Ts on this site and I would say most have chrome. The front bumper on our car actually had some damage I think several large chunks were missing from the driver side but my dad did some body work and made it look pretty close to factory.

Thanks for the comments, nice ride too! 5 stars for the resto! Good work! And yeah I love the rubber bumpers on the challengers too... do you know how many came out with rubber? whenver i see a challenger i always look to see if they have them and i know a majority of them are chrome... i cant even find a web site with any info about the rubber bumpers vs. chrome. oh well, nice job with the car! keep it up!
