I'm very big on honesty and seriousness. I give people the truth about how I feel about their car, so it's only fair if I get the same, whether it be good, bad, harsh, it's all good. I do consider ideas that are suggested, so feel free to do so. I don't respond to responses telling me to check out someone's ride, if I do it's to delete it.

Look for updates at the bottom of this page. If any other modifications are done, I'll make a seperate page for those.

My mother bought this 1994 Saturn SL2 with just over 97,000 miles on it. It's the same year as the SC2 I have on here, but three months newer. This car, even the interior, is absolutely in perfect condition. Not a single scratch anywhere. It's had its oil changed every 3,000 miles, been garage kept, and never smoked in before she got it. It's so easy to drive, even the worst driving retard can do well in it. The one sub installed has the power of two, and with the amp, it's all good.

I got a new camera for my birthday, and I took pictures of the car. They're all night shots, I'll get some of it in the light tomorrow.

Beautiful.

Just the other side, obviously. I've seen one guy manage to stuff 18 inch rims on another SL2, and bag it at the same time. That's not something I'd do, but it goes to show how much potential these underrated cars have.

 Whatcha doin'?

 Katakuna's 1994 Saturn SL-Series

Needs to be washed. I don't have a paved driveway, and it's been raining like hell for the last few days, so the sand splashes all over the car.

Future mods (if I can convince her to let me):

All I think I can convince her to let me do is a set of clean teardrops like on the SC2. She isn't into modding cars like I am, and it isn't my car to screw with. She's very happy with it as it is. She does love pulling up to someone who has their sound system POUNDING, and turning it up and blowing them out of the water.

Got new spark plugs and wires installed. My father and I got the firing order so out of whack that they almost tried to fire at the same time. He called a friend in Kentucky that knows about these cars before he realized that he could have looked at the other Saturn and figured it out. All it needs now is a coolant flush and it's good for a while.

Forgot to tell you that my mother has nicknamed her car "Thumper". I'm sure you've noticed that I or my mother has given every car  name save for the Versa, which her friend's husband owns and named. The subwoofer also stopped working, and I can't figure out what's wrong. Audio systems and wiring are NOT my area of expertise. All I know is how to make the fucker go faster.

 12/22/08

Turns out a connection was loose on the sub. It thumps so hard it shakes the wires out.

That's it for now. I'm a little strapped for time, and daylight. When it's light out, I'll get some better shots.

I act way too white. I started writing shit in the snow on my mother's car.

First time it's EVER been snowed upon. Finally popped its snow-cherry.

Katakuna's 1994 Saturn SL-Series

The snow-covered is next to the car was about a foot thick because it melted and froze over.

The last time it was in Florida...

At the Cemetary in Frankfort, Kentucky. I parked twenty feet from Daniel Boone's gravesite, and about a hundred from a huge cliffside that drops off into the Kentucky River. Whenever I show people this shot, they tend to think I stole a file photo. I'm seriously into photography.

It's been making this trickling noise when it's running. It gets a little more consistent when the the car is being driven. It also has started overheating when at a stop, it hasn't ever done this before, and by god it gets up there fairly quick. If anyone has information as to what this could be, please let me know. I'd be very greatful and willing to help you out with any problems you may be having.

3/6/09

I found some touch-up paint in the glovebox today, I had no clue the car came with it (it was in there from the factory, even had the Saturn logo). Good thing too, because there's a very noticable scrape in the paint on the right side of the rear bumper. I'll get pics tomorrow.

3/28/09

The touch-up paint was shit. It dried on like bondo, and looks just as bad. I'm going to quit screwing with it, it's not like it's my car.

In other news, the possibility of my mother buying a '97 B4C Camaro has tickled my fancy in a BIG way. It was a surplus vehicle, so it was sold at an auction before it ever saw service. That means it's in mint condition! Yahoooo!!! I'm stoked about it, because I know all sorts of sneaky mods I can do to increase its power, like a full exhaust since Kentucky doesn't do emissions testing, the tb coolant bypass, true duals (with the stock tips, this particular B4C came with different tips than the rectangular ones, they look freaking badass), full CAI, descreen the MAF, all Royal Purple fluids, and maybe even long tubes if I can convince her to go along with it. She's not into heavily modifying cars like most of us on here, all she wants is it to go quick and have a nice sound system.

I completely got off track... I mentioned that because she tells me that when, or if, she gets it, she'll let me have this. If she does, I'll do the usual performance mods. I've got a surprize in store for you all if I get it. Stay tuned!

4/5/09

I found this out a long time ago, but the trickling noise was just a squeaky pully that has nothing wrong with it other than it's just annoying as fuck. It hasn't done it lately, so I'm not worried about it.

5/7/09

I've been getting plenty of messages and comments from people telling me I either don't know anything about the car, or what it's capable of, or the races it has won. For your information, I've seen it all, done it all, and yes it will move as quickly as I say it can. It will do 135 mph with the governer removed, it's been as fast as it'll allow. I can almost guarantee that I know every bit as much, if not more, about Saturns than you do. Just try me.

Go ahead, ask. I don't mind answering serious questions for those who need to know.

Oh yeah, from an unnamed source, I've heard that swapping parts from various years of the twin cam engines can net an extra 50 HP. I don't know which years they are, but I do know the parts... At least I thought I did. The person listed them for me, I'll have to find his page again for it. They couldn't specify which years because it could get him fired.

5/7/09

I found some great places to use the Saturn in a photo shoot, so I'll take those when I can and post them up here. Stay tuned!

5/9/09

I figured out by looking on the door tags that the weight distribution on this car is phenomenal; damn near perfect actually. The front is slightly heavier, by about a hundred pounds. That's not bad at all!

5/10/09

Happy mother's day to all the mothers out there! We're going to go detail the car later today. I'll get pictures up later.

5/11/09

Might be getting rid of the car. The issues the automatic transmissions are supposed to have are starting to show. It makes screeching noises when changing gears, high pitched enough to make you cringe. It only does this when cold, it stops after it warms up.

5/19/09

Sorry for not updating for a while, I have a life. I got pictures of the car all sparkly and clean, before any birds shat on it.

Found out what stock parts I need to give the engine a 50 hp boost. Now I just need to figure out which year each part is that I need.

Also, there's one asshole on here that's absolutely convince he knows more than me about cars. True or false, who really gives a shit? I don't, I know more than you'll ever think, I can't convince you that I do, so I'm done trying.

You see, I study cars, I look at their history, I know the ins and outs of damn near any American automobile of the sixties to today. I know just as much about how to modify or fix one as I do about automotive history.

Lastly for today, since I probably won't be one for about a week, I've been reading up on how to make a custom turbo kit and how to install it. When all is said and done, a Cummins turbo diesel is going to be out of a turbo and I'll have learned how to install the kit! Freakin' sweet! Doesn't matter if I blow the engine from too much boost, I doubt the turbo I get will produce enough boost to fuck anything up. I doubt 8 PSI could hurt anything, but I'll find out soon enough.

8/10/09

I found the list of stock parts I need to boost power. I couldn't find out the years because the guy I asked would've gotten fired if he told me, but I do know what parts. I need cams, valve springs, pistons and rods, L-series throttle butterfly plate (2.2), L-series EGR plate, exhaust header (already knew that one), and you need to shave the head. I dunno if I'd shave the head, I don't trust myself not to completely toast it. But I can easily do the others, but I won't since this isn't my car.

And in case some of you didn't know, the Single cam engines and the twin cam engines use the same block, so it might be easier to just swap the parts from a twin cam onto a single cam and save yourself the trouble. Then again, you'd probably have to pull the engine out to do anything, so it might just be easier to do a complete engine swap.

9/19/09

My mother has been wanting another Camaro ever since she had to let go of her last one, so tomorrow we're going to a friend who has tonnes of the damn things and see if he's got one in her price range. That being said, I don't know if she'll sell the Saturn to pay for a Camaro (if she decides to buy one), keep it as a second car, or turn it over to me. Whatever she decides to do, I'm happy with, because sooner or later I'm getting her old one, come hell or high stoners.
