Disclaimer: Everything I own is for sale so all reasonable offers considered. I enjoy the builds more than the finished product :)

This is my newest project. 1972 Datsun 510. Rust free car. It had the Rebello built L20b already in the car when I got it. I pulled the motor, re-built the head and then painted the engine bay before dropping the fresh motor back in. The motor has been bored and stroked to 2.3L. It has a stage 3 cam and twin mikuni 44 carbs. Then engine is mated to a Datsun roadster mid-close ratio racing 5 speed.

All engine parts were blasted and re-painted. All new OEM cad plated bolts were used in the engine re-assembly.

Troy Ermish coilovers, F&R sway bars, 5 speed trans, roll cage etc.

14" panasport true racing wheels.

The entire interior has been dynamated and then new carpet installed.

This is the original orange color. The car was re-sprayed several years ago. I wetsanded and buffed the exterior and painted the window frames and pillars orange as they were black when I got the car.

Since I got the car I have replaced the hood, removed the BRE racing stripes, painted the radiator support black, removed the front bumper, lowered the car another 1.5", stripped and painted the engine bay, rebuilt the engine, blasted and painted all parts under the hood, sent the mikuni 44's to WolfCreek racing for bead blasting, re-build and all new linkage, added dynamat and carpet, replaced the passenger side sparco racing seat with a perfect OEM seat, painted the pillars and window frames, then re-wired the entire under hood wiring harness while hiding many of the wires.

I am now in the process of adding all stainless aeroquip fuel lines and anodized fittings. carter electric fuel pump, regulator, and fuel pressure gauge on the firewall. Also just had my roadster 5 speed trans re-built :)

Please take the time to look at my other project. My daily driver which has more work in it than the 510 :) 1992 BMW E34 5 series with tons of mods.

I just added some early photos of what the car looked like when I got it. Then posted some of the engine when I re-built it as well as the dynamat. Note how dirty the engine bay was when I got it.

I wanted to list the people who helped make this car what it is.

Most of my Nissan parts came from Riley Curtis at Lynchburg Nissan . He is the man for all your OEM Datsun and Nissan parts.

Todd at Wolfcreek racing in NY for the carb re-build and helped with advice on the fuel system.

L series bolt kit came from my friend Eiji Hosimi at Datsun Spirit. he specializes in L series and Japanese parts for Nissans/Datsuns.

Rebello racing in CA built the motor long ago and helped in creating a new HG for me.

Citizens machine shop in Richmond, VA did the head and the machine work

David Weitz from the510realm helped with many parts

Crazy Gary from Gearbox transmissions rebuilt the roadster 5 speed.

And of course my dad for all his help and for raising me around 510's and 240z's :)

Many more I am sure I am not mentioning..............

5/14/2009: Just added an ITG air filter last night :)

6/10/2009: Just picked up another project 510. Only much smaller :)

9/17/09: Next plan of action.... This winter I will begin to dismantle the car entirely. I will then be building a rotisiree for it. I plan to spend the cold months taking the whole car down to metal in order to tackle the few surface rust areas. I also wanted to do this as the paint is 10 years old and I want to paint her myself. I will most likely go back to the orange with black hood but am also considering my favorite 510 color "cactus green"

Any thoughts on the color choice?

10/05/2009: Had to add these two photos I took of my gf with my car. Too funny. She hates candid photos. I like to think her quote here is " Stop eet!!!! You're stealing my sewel :)" hahahahaha
