OK, Heres the story. The car was bought new by a doctor in 1969 in the local area. It then was bought and owned by two other owners before i ended up buying it in 1996. The Car was Painted as the General Lee in late 1979 by its third owner. I remember growing up and seeing this car pass by my house many times as a child. It was later painted Grey and parked in the early 90s, and remained parked until i noticed it for sale and purchased the car.  I grew up being a fan of the Dukes of Hazzard, and since i remembered that the car had once wore the Orange paint. And also that the show had just reAired on TNN. I decided to paint the car back as the General Lee. This was my first car when i got my drivers liscense. That was twelve years ago and i still have the car today.

I've had a Blast owning this car, and "Let me Tell Ya", When you turn a 16 year old boy loose in a Charger/General Lee, He tends to get into Mischief!!!. "I Raised more Hell then a Mule Locked Up in a Tin Building in this car". HAHA... But now i'm 27 years old and alot Wiser then i was at age 16.

The car has set for about five years since its been drivin. It still looks good and is garage kept. I'm planning on fixing the car up again soon, I'm just not sure whether i'll keep it as a General Lee or fix it back all original. Thats a hard decision to make. "This Picture was taken in 1997"

Very nice. As good as it looks I would just leave it in Duke trim. Once the paint goes bad I would go back to original. The General Lee is cool and everything and believe me I grew up on the TV series, yea I'm old, but I just think sometimes the Dukes of Hazard look steals attention away from the true beauty of a Charger. I mean, bar none, the 2nd gen Chargers are the best looking cars on the face of the earth and their lines are appreciated more without the loudness of the 01 and flag. At least in my book. Good luck with your dilemma. 5 *'s too. And I have another 68 I might be selling, but your so far away, I doubt its worth the trip.
