First of all if your gonna come this far as to look at my truck, I would appreciate it if you would take 5 more seconds of your time to go ahead and rate it please.  Thanks.

JUST A BRIEF HISTORY

Yeah like i said I've had it now for about 2 1/2 yrs and everything you see done to it is the result of 2 years of work and hard earned cash from working part time after school in a little pizza joint for minimum wage.  NO HUSTLIN AND NO DRUG DEALIN!  I did what i could with an afterschool part time job and now that I am 18 and in college its even harder to get the time and money to do stuff with it.  But once I get done with school and in the summertime, its right back to it.

While it may not look like I have done a lot, keep in mind that I am a full time student and it is still a daily driver for me.  Also my wish list for it is never ending or so it seems, and it will be fulfilled one of these days even if I am 30 or so when i do because I am patient like that.

This is what I have done to it already (my plan is to do the exterior first, then suspension, followed by interior works, and then end it with the performance upgrades)...

THE RACING SIDE OF ME

As for right now the 5.3L is still pretty much all stock with 120,000 miles and while it runs great and gets me around just fine, I have to say, it is pretty slow even compared to other trucks of the same model and engine or even the 4.8L, with a 0-60 time of about roughly 9.1...OUCH.  The only thing I've ever truly beaten in a street race was an old 4 banger S-10 and a couple of fullsize V6 F150's and 1500's and even they were pretty close and gave me a run for my money!  Other than that I have lost everything else.  I dont know my exact record other than it is 2 wins and a bunch more losses.  But I cant help not to when they pull up beside me and wanna show off so i wanna see for myself in comparison out of curiosity just to see what they've got.  And sometime this summer I'm gonna start running it down the local 1/8 mi. track just to get an official time of what it can actually do.  I predict an 11.8 to 12.0 based on what I've seen from others.  Some of my memorable losses include a couple other V8 full sizes, a Lincoln Continental (which i did not know had a V8 at the time), my dads 3.0 V6 Accord coupe, 4.0 V6 Mustang, Jeep Cherokee 5.2 w. 38" swampers, 4 cyl. PT Cruiser, and a 4.3L S-10.  I dont want to sound like I am proud of this or I am bragging about it but I just instead use it as motivation to one day have my truck running in the upper 8's at the 1/8 mi. track and beat any SVT Lightning, Sport Trac, or Tundra that crosses my path.  I hate those things.

UPDATE: 12/27/08

I finally got a decent day in late December of all days to run my truck at the local 1/8 mi. track.  After about 6 or 7 runs, my best time came in at a 10.51 but with a bad reaction time of 107 at about 68 mph so I really feel that with a little more practice I can have it down to a 10.4 or so.  I was pleased with the results considering its still stock and faster than most trucks I've seen run there so I am very hopeful and optimistic for the future once I get some more upgrades.

UPDATE: 1/3/08

On a sprinkly day, the track was just a little wet after a slight shower moved in but before that i was able to get in a few runs.  My first run was against my buddies Ford Sport Trac 4.0 V6 with several engine mods. like an intake, chip, tuned, exhaust, and a couple of other things.  Our first run I got him off the line really good and beat him.  Then he got me by 1/2 a length the second run but I got him on the third by 1 and a 1/2.  My second competition was my other buddies Silverado 1500 Southern Comfort.  Our  first run was close until I hit second and thats when he pulled away.  I always lose my races when it hits second gear.  But the last race was extremely close and I think I got him by a bumper.  Because of the wet, my best run of the day was only a 10.8 but this gave me my first win puttin my record at the track at 3 wins and 8 losses.

NOW A FEW PICS.

This is how my baby looked right after I bought it!
