I am the second owner of this 1979 Olds Delta 88. Its name is Catnip. It used to be diesel, but now has a 350 small block. 3 speed auto tranny with a 2.43 final drive
Unfortunately, Catnip was totaled when the roads were very slick. I had this car for 2 weeks. There was a bend in the road and i turned the wheel but the car kept going straight. I was honestly going about 30 mph. I went in between a phone pole and the wire comming off of it (i dont have any idea how), just missed a tree about 4 feet around, clipped my mirror off on another big tree, took out countless little trees, and did a 15 foot nosedive into a rivine before i finally stopped. It took 2 tow trucks over an hour to pull my car out. Yet i walked out of the car with a headache and nothing else wrong. I don't know how or why I'm still alive.
