Randy Krider's BAY EX 2005 Honda Civic Si

2nd place at NASA/FRX 2008 Rallycross National Championships

The Bay Area Express "Delivery Machine" spends its weekdays delivering packages all over California and sometimes even Nevada.  But on the weekends it is usually competing in an Formula Rally X rallycross, an SCCA Solo 2 event or an NHRA E.T. Bracket Drag race.  The car has over 180,000 miles on it an has only needed a throttle cable and some engine mounts to be replaced.  Third Street Auto Repair in Napa, CA, handled the engine mount swap. 

Performance In Frame Tuning in Napa, CA, updated the Honda engine computer using their chassis dyno.  B & G Tires threw on some new rubber for the wheels and Napa Valley Muffler built a custom high performance exhaust system.

Randy piloted the Honda at the 2008 NASA/FRX Rallycross National Championships in the Street Stock 2 (SS2) class and took home second place honors.

Randy keeps his Honda running good with Mobil 1 oil and HP 234 anti-friction metal conditioner and lubricant.

Randy Krider installed a CG-Lock to keep him in the driver's seat as he traversed the bumpy desert.  The CG-Lock held his torso in place so well Randy was able to use his legs and arms to control the car (as opposed to keep him in the seat).  Obviously the CG-Lock worked because his National 2nd place finish was no easy feat.
