The Term IRS stands for Iroc Rally Sport. I've always wanted an Iroc Z and an RS I i've decided to put both concepts together into my car making it the only one like it on the road.
This is my V6 Camaro the first photo of it about a week after purchasing it. I bought it last year and have enjoyed it since then its been a great replacement for my old Fiero which I sold back in early 2008.
The car has given me its fair share of issues and its had quite a story to go along with it everything from the Transmission having to be rebuilt 3 diffrent times, then the drive shaft feel out of it!!!!!, we had a draw in the system which kept draining my battery system. Then the fuel pump and tranny seal went and finally the rear diffrental was shot and replaced. Dispite alot of down and disapointing hours with this car there is nothing better than driving my camaro.
From the weekly friday night drive from the southend side(widefield) of Colorado Springs all the way towards the airforce acadmey its a great car and has never failed to disapoint me.
This passed summer time this car was apart of a car club known as "CS Fbodys" and I was the only V6 out of the bunch while everybody else had LS1 cars. Just recently though this car was retired from CS fbodys and is once again the lone wolf it once was.
My first photo
I have had many people tell me I should sell it and go get an LS1 or LT1 car but I refuse don't get me wrong those cars are probably the best deal you can buy in terms of high performance on the dollar if you can't get a corvette but I wanted something diffrent.
After going for a ride in a buddys 89 turbo TransAm I just simply feel in love with the 3.8 powerplant and knew I just had to have one for myself the problem was finding the right one for me.
My buddys car the white T/A was the one and another one of my friends Grand National
I never really looked into V6 engines before and always had a bad opinion on V6 Camaros but after looking around for nearly 6 months I came accross one that had the perfect deal and price and I knew I would have one.
The car makes great power for being just a V6. It was a great alturnative to a Grand National for me since buying one is alittle out of my bouget for a couple of months this car does the job just fine.
My future plans is to rebuild this bad boy. The chessey Ferrari 575 paint job has to go! I want to get the RS body @ ground effectsput back on and perhaps paint it Cobalt Blue with Black Stripes and get the rims painted black then get the T-Top done to it.
As far as performance goes I'am not to big on that since theres no place here in Colorado Springs to run it so maybe a Cold air intake and Dual exhaust and just maybe a shot of nitrious will be all that I need otherwise I just want to make this car a great curiser around town.
More pics and info to come.
