Hello and welcome to my page.

The Chrysler 300M was purchased for $3,500 with only 44,000 original miles in Novemeber 2008. It was owned by my grandma who was the original owner. She  bought a 2009 Lincoln MKX and the dealership offered her $3,500 on trade. I was in an accident about 2 weeks ago in my 1994 Ford Taurus GL (Click Here ). The car ended up getting totaled by the insurance company. The accident wasn't my fault. Anyways I needed a car that offered decent gas mileage. My dad talked to her and she offered it me for $3,500. The car was purchased by me. I did some research on Auto Trader and this car was selling for $6500-$9,500 with around these same miles in November 2008. So I got one heck of a deal. The car has the 17” factory Chrome Wheel. At first I didn't want too many mods except for tint and led interior bulbs but once you get modification fever you cannot stop.

The car needs a bath badly. 1st week I got the car.

The license plate is mounted a little crooked. I didn't want to pay $40 for a piece of plastic license plate bracket from the dodge dealer. I did check on ebay with no luck. My local junkyard didn't have any that were not broken either. So I said fuck it and drilled some holes. Yes its crooked but I don't care.

I just washed and waxed the car last night. I didn't finish up until  3:00 A.M.

I used a clay bar and Wolfgang Fuzion wax $175.

Its better in person. There was so much tar on this car.Tundraman10's 1999 Chrysler 300M Tundraman10's 1999 Chrysler 300M

This decal is still present on the car. Though I'll have to relocate it when I have the tint done.

Okay first off I'm not gangster. I bought this for $20 just for shits and giggles to put in the back of my car. Some people just like to display a hat or two in the back of their windows. You'll never see me wear this hat in public or while driving the car. Am I an Yankees' Fan? No. I do not watch baseball.

4/2/2009

My 300M hood protector came in. It took about 5 minutes to install. I'm using it to cover a couple of scratches up.

My 300M license plate frame came in. Just trying to spread the word about the club. A $16 mod after shipping that will not break the wallet.

4/22/2009

My 6 piece chrome pillars came in. I'll install them once the weather clears up. I can't wash the car for 4 days after these chrome pieces are installed.

5/11/2009 I got the stainless steel tips installed for $53 which included the tax.

It took about 20 minutes to install.

Tundraman10's 1999 Chrysler 300M Tundraman10's 1999 Chrysler 300M

The muffler man used a reciprocating saw. See the cuts on the original tips. As you can see, the tips are staggered. The factory tips have this as well.

5/21/2009  I bought some 2001-2004 300M tail lights at the junkyard.

I can't belive the fit and finsh compared the 01-04 is lousy compared to the 99-00 taillights. Look at the gap from the newer style taillight compared to the older one up above.

6/17/2009 I got the tint done today at Buff N Stuff in Warren Ohio. They charged me $239 with tax included 35% Llumar film and a lifetime warranty. You have to pay in CASH. No checks or credit cards accepted. Sorry but I don't have any pictures of it yet because the tint is not completely settled. There are creases, bubbles, and orange peel here and there on the tint. The tint is not too dark and its not to light. I don't have any trouble at night backing the car up with all the windows up. I'm glad I didn't go darker than 35% I was thinking about changing the tint to 30% on the back 3 but I'm going to leave it as it is.

My rear spoiler also came into today. I'll have that installed shortly. The spoiler looks sharp.

6/17/2009.

I took some pictures of the window tint. Sorry that the pictures are not the greatest due to the heavy rain all day. This was the only break that I had in order to take the pcitures. I'll take some better pictures later on. The chrome pillar strips are installed. I think that they makes the car look cleaner/classier.

Sorry I can't roll down the windows yet because the tint is still settling.

The tint looks a little bit darker in person.

6/19/2009 Took the M down to a dodge dealer in WV to have the tint checked. The tint came back 25% tint instead of 35% what I paid for. So I called the tint shop back today and they told me that both of us including me saw that the tint in the box was marked 35%. Also they said that 9 out of 10 times those tint meters are accurate. So maybe there at the dealership needs recalibrated. I checked both film specs on line for Llumar and Sun Guard. the 35% ranges from %35-40% VLT. The other possbility could be that the car came from the factory with a little bit of factory tint. If that were so I think that my tint % number would be a little bit higher. Those tint meters are within a + or - %2 accuracy.

I went to Craig's (300maxilien) in Cleveland to have him install a couple of things for me. It took aboutn 5 hours but it was well worth it in the end. Craig busted his butt on my car and it really looks sharp.

First craig installed the rear spoiler. That took about 1 hour to install. Tundraman10's 1999 Chrysler 300M Tundraman10's 1999 Chrysler 300M

The rear spoiler is not sitting on the factory setting that Chrysler made for the rear spoiler. Craig convinced me to move the spoiler back about 1/2" and its pretty flush with the trunk.

Lower mesh grille is installed. I was really worried about how the top grille would look since I do not have a 2002-2004 Grille. No turning back now.

Then craig installed my sylvania silverstar bulbs. I bought the wrong set of sylvania silverstar Ultras so I had to return them and settle for the regular sylvania silverstars. The silverstars are brighter than the OEM Sylvania bulbs.

Last night on my way home from college, I ended up hitting a raccoon. This little bastard hit my front bumper causing the hairline crack that I had in the bumper from grandma to split open leaving me n 8in crakc. I took the car to the bodyshop to get and estimate. I'm looking at $425 just in labor to get a new bumper isntalled and painted. Its another $275 to get the bumper from a mopar discount dealer out in Columbus. I'll post some pictures shortly. But the kicker is that the carlisle show is next week. So I'll have to drive up there with the damege to the car. I'm going to start saving now and hopefully by the end of summer, I'll have the car fixed up. I was planning on replacing the bumper later on because of what my grandma did the car before I got it.

I added 2 videos of my car on youtube.

My tint meter came in. I tested both the front and rear windows and the readings came to be 27%-28%. But most of the time it read 28%. I'll be posting some pictures soon.

Here are some pictures of the tint using my tint meter.

Got bored and decided to take some pictures of my M with some need added goodies. Sorry about the M being dirty. Haven't driven it in over 2 weeks.

Tundraman10's 1999 Chrysler 300M Tundraman10's 1999 Chrysler 300M

The new 38% Llumar Jet Series film. check at 34% on tint meter.

Tundraman10's 1999 Chrysler 300M Tundraman10's 1999 Chrysler 300M

Apparently, Le Bra stop production on the hood protector for the M. So I bought a cover craft. Little bit different in style but built better I think.

Here are some different angles of the tint. Its not that dark even with the all the windows shut. This tint is just 6% lighter than what I had before. Its not that noticeable to other but I do notice it. Sometimes I think that I should have went darker like 30% or left the tint at the 28%.  I might redo the back 3 windows and put it at 30%. As of right now, the tint will stay as it is.

9/20/2009

I just waxed my M and took some pictures of it sorry if they are distorted will take better  ones in the future.

10-13-2009

I finally took some pictures of my new tint. Went to Auto Effects in Monaca Pa.

www.youwantcustom.com

$180 to retint 4 windows at 25% Johnson Marathon. Should be about 21%-22% on tint meter. Haven't tested it yet because I've been sick for a while and I'm still waiting for the tint to cure. The rear window is still tinted at 35% from before. Will retint the back window in the spring time. The reason why is because of the cold weather. Cold weather makes it difficult to remove the back tint.
