This is my firebird. It started out as a 2.8 5 speed car. It is soon to be a 355 on spray, with a 6 point cage, 4.56's, mini tub, and have a few body mods as well.

This is what it first looked like when I got it. I started by adding the salad shooter wheels, only had rears on in this pic. the tail lights were smashed, tranny mount was broken, and interior was thrashed. The 2.8 acutally turned out to be a crate OHV 3.4. I sold that for 500.

This was the first project for the car. Its still needs lots of work, but it was a 2" twin turbo hood, with a 2nd gen camaro hacked up to look like an SS scoupe, and then fiberglassed on.sandman_17's 1988 Pontiac Firebird

have to make room for the 350.

Another shot of the hood, had some SS emblems from another project left over, seeing what it looked like.

This was another project. I cut these out of a 2000 grand prix at the wreckers. Once I had them were i wanted them, i welded them in, straigtened out the factory door handle linkage and the handles worked. I just have to figure out the locks now.

Heres something elso to set my car apart. I hated the 88 bumpers so i took an 84 bumper, threw the grills out and made my own. The bezel is made out of 3/16 aluminum, and then i got some mesh to lay in behind it. The holes will have a fog light in them, or maybe a brake duct.

Here's a couple of more shots.

I was messing around for stuff i could re-purpose to make the fog light bezel and ended up using a thermos. Believe it or not, i just cut off the ends that hold the cups on the top and bottom, and voila.

I got some new wheels. There 17x9.5 rears with 285/40/17's and the fronts are 245/45/17s on 17x8. The wheels are Eagle alloy series 203.

Good luck on the build homie... I recommend pianting it black with black rims with chrome lips... My rims are 18X9's in the front and 18X10 in the back. 245's up front and 275's in the back.
