My 89 244 DL

This is my daily driver which I am restoring bit by bit to her former glory plus some performance here and there.

When I first rescued her

I painted the turn signals to mimic the euro-spec lamps I will be installing in the future ; )

Made a shabby eggcrate grille using a 740 turbo grille and a stock chrome surround. You can't see the zipties from 5' away, but I'll do better next time. The best way to trim the plastic tabs around the 740 grille is to score the plastic deeply with a razor, then snap the tabs on with pliers. Hack saws will only make a mess of things, at least in my hands they do ;-)

Nice Brick, lots of great modifications. I like the idea of relocating the flame trap. Good website. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your Volvo. 5 Stars!

Great brick! Seems to be coming back together nicely. These bricks are pretty much immortal.
