I've had my Jet for 2 years now. It's Black on black on black leather. I do most of everything to this car myself, and am damn proud of it too! I'm new to this whole CarDomain thing, so I will post things that this car has right here:
JOM coilovers
20mm front + 34mm rear adapters from 5X100(Jetta bolt pattern) to 5X130 (Porsche pattern)
Porsche "Phone Dial" Rims that I restored with J&B weld and Low Gloss Black engine enamel paint (15X7 ET. 23.3) [With the adapters, I have ET3.3 front and ET-10.7 rear]
Nexen N300 195/45 R15 tires
Drilled and Slotted Brembo brake discs all around
Carbon wrapped badgeless grill
Black/black europlate
Smoked clusters (Fog/Reflecter/Turn Signals)
E-code headlights with different colored bulbs
Black (and soon to be shaved) emblems in the rear of the car
1997 Passat steering wheel
Custom Blue Cheetah headliner
2 truck horns with individual compressors
Plenty of bass/Pioneer speakers all around
Air-Ram intake
Windshield is tinted among all other
Meaningful/less stickers
and a dancing hoola girl on my dash.
Things to do/get in the near future:
Roll fenders
In-Dash TV (again..)
Tuck the roof's antenna into the roof
Fill hole from antenna removal, sand roof, and prime it a pastel color
Shave "Jetta", "VR6", and "GLX" from the back; possibly the VW sign too
Get a spare porsche tire or another phone dial with tire as a spare
Custom make my spare tire bay in the truck a cooler with a drain pipe out the bottom
Cut my woofer box and fit it into the sides of the car/re-arrange my Amps
Front sway bar
More stickers
Cop radar
Upper and lower glove compartments
Respray rearview mirrors and door handles
Swap all speakers again (I think I finally popped one)
Ceramic brake pads instead of metal ones
Absolutely everything works, and I like it that way. Especially the alarm.
again, I did it all myself. :)
