1976 Mustang II Cobra History
& Ownership History
Its a perfect example of a lightweight V8 car that when warmed up can become a real sleeper. Today the car's exterior is pretty much like it came from the factory. I love it!!! I hope you love it too!

When I was younger I lived in a college town, (three different ones actually) and the result was all the same. I knew it was a cop magnet so I always kept it under legal speed. In spite of that I got pulled over regularly in the car without cause and the result was always the same. Since I hadn't broken any law, I never got a ticket, The officer, or officers, would get my license and registration and just walk around my car with the engine running gawking at it like the guys in the video, and eventually they would let me go after asking about the technical details on my car. If you like the clip, how about some good ratings? I know personally I can really relate to it.
My parents got this car for me as a surprise, and sold off my other one without me knowing about it. I had a blue with white stripes, non V8 Cobra previous to that time with a 4 speed, which had largely been went through to put all the premium equipment on the car that the other car did not have originally. It went away with all the parts and I then got this one. While at the time, I was a little discouraged after having put so much work into my other car, this has been a good car for me and I really have become quite attached to it. Its my baby and I try to treat it good!!!!
This picture is how it looked within a year after I got it 20 + years ago. But to see it today, I'd say it looks better than ever.
