Hot Classic Nights 2009
Classic cars were greeted by thousands of fans at the show in Rigby, Idaho on July 11, 2009.
Interestingly, I have to say this event possibly had more attendees and cars than any show the car has been in to date. The Fifth Annual Hot Classic Nights Car Show was followed by a dozen or two of the participants dragging down the local main street, referred in local terms as a parade, but lest the rest of us be confused, it was more like a bunch of car owners waving at each other as we drove down the otherwise bare streets with a few local yokels here and there gawking from the curbside where they are randomly parked in dirty pickup trucks talking about how the big city is coming to their very small town. Any body else ever heard the reputation of the local 1J drivers?

Looks like a pretty car, wouldn't you agree. It received tons of positive feedback. I have to laugh at these people that walk up the the car and tell someone they are with supposed authority, "Yeah, that 302 is not the original engine... the original had a 351." HA HA HA!!!! Of course, its the original engine, and the 351, well that's a pipe dream for all II owners since day one.

Some good views are shown here of the interior from both the driver and passenger sides of the car.

Here's a few open compartments for your viewing inspection at the show. The engine compartment needs a little love still, but here a little work here and there will go a long way. "Yes, actually that IS a real nitrous bottle," and "Yes it IS hooked up."

Here's the view of a lot of Camaros see, of course with the back end of the car looking down the sides-- the only difference is they see me pulling away at an increasing rate of speed.

Finally, here's the front and back of the II at the show. All things considered it was a fun little show. Lots of really sharp older Mustangs were there, and other than it being so hot, it was fun.
