Custom Stock & Iron Car Club Car Show 2009
Here are some shots of my car as shown in the 4th of July Car Show sponsored by the Idaho Falls Custom Stock and Iron Car Club held in downtown Idaho Falls, ID on Saturday, July 4th, 2009. I was pleased that they had a class for 1970s cars so that was my class for the event. Before the show the entrants participated in the Idaho Falls City Parade through the streets of the city. It was a lot of fun and the car got lots of cheers along the way.

Here is a couple shots of the front of the car at the show.

You can see some good shots of the rear quarter panels.

Here's a couple shots from the front left corner during the show.

The only other Mustang in the category, was blue and white striped '66 with a 289 engine. The car to win the class, was a black '70 Plymouth Baracuda-- a fine looking car. If I can't win, that sure was a good one to lose to.
At the show I took some shots of the interior, since it had been a while since I had posted any of those, so here goes... Here' we'll start off with the cargo area of the car.

Next is the driver's seat view with the wheel and gauge cluster As you can see, its very stock in its appearance. But, for me its quite a lot better than the idiot lights in so many cars of the era.

I love this option steering wheel on the Cobra's for the stallion steering wheel. Its not only good looking but it feels great when making a hard corner.

The seats and carpet are quite luxurious for a car of the era, just the way intended by Lee Iococca when he took on the project to build the Mustang IIs. The car show was a nice event, and its always fun to meet fellow owners of fine restored cars that people are so proud of, and justfully so.
