This is my pride and joy...is a 1974 fully stock Dodge Challenger. It was the last year of this beautiful Muscle Car. It came too late in the muscle car era to survive. High insurance rates for cars like this and also high gas prices(over a dollar, can you believe that) spelt the doom of this type of car in the 70's. Though some cars like the Camaro, Corvette and Firebird were able to tweek out an existence, many of the great ones were disappearing fast, the GTO, Chevelle, Chevy Nova, Dusters, Demons, Cuda's, Charger, AMC Javelin and AMX, Olds 442, Buick GS etc. It's amazing going to car shows on a weekly basis and seeing all the great ones still out there just as shiney and powerful as ever. And you have to hand it to the Big 3 Car companies to finally come out with somewhat retro versons of the hot cars...Mustang, Challenger, Charger(though it should have been a 2 door car) and soon to be Camaro. Well thanks for visiting, Enjoy!
