Here's my stock, numbers matching 1963 Lincoln Continental. I purchased it locally from it's second owner. It still has the dealer issued car owner nameplate on the glovebox door, that was given to the original owner when it was purchased new in December of 1962. (see pix) The car was manufactured at the Wixom, Mi. plant on October 17th of 1962 and sent to Kansas City, where from there, it was sent to Springfield, Mo. It was sold from the Dukewits-Suttee L.M. local dealership, no longer in service now. With purchase, I received original thank you letter, dated December 13, 1962, and "The Lincoln Continental Story" brochure both hand signed by Ben D. Mills, Vice President and General Manager of the Lincoln Mercury Division of the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Mi., at the time when the car was purchased. Also received original maintenence logbook , owners manual , ignition and trunk keys. ( stamped with issue numbers that match numbers dealer typed in maintenence log book before giving to owner ) This is a completely rust free car with all original body panels, amazing since it has spent it's whole life in Missouri's unpredictable seasons! Sports 320 hp - 430 V8 Super Marauder big block engine w/ Carter 4 barrel carb, that starts and runs great. 10:1 compression with 4.30 bore and 3.70 stroke. Single stage torque converter w/ 3 speed fully automatic planetary gear train transmission that shifts buttersmooth. Hotchkis drive with 10 bolt rear end with 2.89:1 gears. 123.0" wheelbase, 213.3" length, 53.7" height, and 77.5" width. 5370 lb weight. (wow! what a tank!!) Has had new trunk weatherstrip, vent window seals, carpet, exhaust pipes, mufflers, manifold gaskets, gas tank, fuel lines, heating and cooling lines, A/C compressor and tires put on it. Also had all brakes gone through and replaced like new. Replaced rear tail light bezels with 1965 Lincoln ribbed bezels. Other than that, it's still stock. Original Ermine white paint on exterior and Pearl Honey Beige crinkle leather interior w/ semi-gloss gold metallic dash and trim. Original mint hubcaps w/ no curb rash at all! Brushed aluminum inserts on glove box door and door panels. Optional door edge guards and front seat belts. Soft Ray factory tint on all glass. Remote drivers side mirror. Remote vacuum trunk release. Factory air that blows cold and AM radio w/ factory front and rear speakers. Has auto headlight dimmer and all power options, and all work perfectly. Windows, vent windows, antenna, 6 way seat, brakes, locks, windshield washers, wipers, and steering. All courtesy lights, ash tray lights, and ash tray lighters work. Doors still open and close smooth with no sagging whatsoever. Purchased original optional speed control unit , but have yet to mount and install it on the car. It also came with original bumper jack and spare tire. There is no such thing as too much chrome!! I plan on keeping it all numbers matching stock. These cars were in a class of their own when they came out and still, after 45 years, turn heads wherever driven. They were thoroughly factory tested and maintained close factory specs and tolerances. The fine condition of this ride clearly shows this. Selling for roughly $6000 back then, when most cars were costing around $1000-$1200. These were reserved for only the upper class buyers. Waiting for summer so I can enter her in some local car shows and cruise ins. Haven't seen one like her here locally or within the nearest 100 miles. If you live in Springfield, Mo. or surrounding areas and are a 60's era Lincoln fan, look me up! Suicide slabs rule!!
