I purchased this on November 11, 2008 after my 66' was rear ended while on my way to school. I was hit by a driver in my rear right quarter panel, which then forced me into the cement barrier next me, totaling out my entire car. The floor pan was buckled up, the shock towers were bent almost rammed into my new engine with less than 200 miles, and the body was twisted.
You can see the profile for my other car here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/860960
I searched around local papers, ebay, and saw this on craigslist. To make a long story short, walked away $17,500 poorer, and one fastback richer.
In all, it is basically complete, but needs alot of minor things, new rear glass, the stainless trim around it is gone, the spedo wasnt hooked up when I got it, bunch of zero guage speaker wires were run to the trunk, no weatherstripping, starter was dead, wrong 1967 sway bar in front, wrong 1967 rear end, cut up interior panels, it's missing the back piece to the fold down rear seat, mostly minor things that will be ironed out over time.
Will soon transplant my 347 and 5 speed to this one, along with my other posi rear end and wheels/tires.

The interior that you see is basically all new, seats, carpet, dash, door panels, door handles, window cranks, steering wheel, guage cluster, glove box, headliner. Only thing I wish wasnt there were the speakers in the back, I cannot fold down the rear seat.

UPDATE - 01-13-09
Installed the correct width rear end out of my '66. The correct rear end width for the '65-'66 Mustangs is 2" shorter than a '67-'70 which was in the car. The 3.55 gears are a big improvement over the 2.80. Also installed my Torq Thrust II's off my other car.

Purchased a new rear glass and had it tinted with 5% limo tint. I also found time to install my 347 stroker and T-5. While there, I put in a huge 27 1/2" wide Griffon radiator to keep things cool. The pictures above are really outdated now.
UPDATE - 06-30-09
Installed the new rear window over the weekend, along with some new stainless trim around the window. Bought and installed some brand new fiberglass interior panels to get rid of the speakers in the back, and just added some minor things. New shifter bezel, new Autometer 5" carbon fiber tach, put the battery in the trunk with an aluminum battery box and so on. Also had a new Tony Branda fiberglass GT350 hood painted since the older Chinese one was severely bowed. Also installed a set of faux carbon fiber door panels. See all pics on page 4.
Thinking about buying either a 9" rear end to replace the 8" that I have in it now. Want to go to 4:11 gears to better match the characteristics of the 347, over the 3:55's that I have right now.
Here's a shot from the Mustangs Plus show in April that both I, my brother, and dad all attended. More pics of the show on page 3.

UPDATE - 07-10-09
Bought a set of SSBC Force 10 disk brakes back in May that finally came in today. They will be going on in the following weeks. They are a four piston caliper with 13" rotors. That should get the job done in the braking department. Picking them up tommorow from Mustangs Plus.
Also looking at a new set of seats to hold me in them while I corner. Thinking of going with either Sparco race seats or a set of SCAT seats. The stock seats just don't cut it. Pics on page 4.
Finally, I'm looking to find a new wheel set to replace the played out Torq Thrust II's. I'm tired of seeing everyone and their dad with these things. See page 4 for my choices I'm trying to decide upon.
UPDATE - 07-17-09
Just ordered a complete Ford 9" rear end for my car. Gearing is a 4.11 posi, with 31 spilne axles. Will post pics when it arrives.
UPDATE - 07-21-09
Purchased a custom fit car cover from CALIFORNIA CAR COVER. It's near the top of the line level called NOAH, it's waterproof, blocks all UV rays, and is a four layer design. Cost was $229 after all was done. Also got a California Duster to go with it which was a little more.
UPDATE - 07-23-09
The widows have been a little sticky when trying to roll them up and down, so I just ordered all new window regulators, window scissors, and poly rollers to rebuild both doors. Also gonna have each window tinted when I take them out to redo everything. Probably a lighter tint on the sides than the back, maybe a 35% ting. Don't wanna attract to much attention from the police.
UPDATE - 08-01-09
Spent about 5 hours today polishing and waxing the car with the Mothers 3 step prep system. The kit includes a paint cleaning compound, then a polishing compound, and finally a carnuba wax compound. Came out really good, and feels super smooth. More pics are on page 4.

UPDATE - 08-08-09
Installed the new SSBC Force 10's today. Spent about 4 hours getting the old drums off and installing these new disks. The installation went suprsingly easy as far as the calipers and rotors are concerned. The proportioning valve install however was a pain in the ass. Gonna have to redo the entire break line system someday. More pics on page 4.

UPDATE - 10-05-09
Got the new 9" rear installed over the weekend, only thing left to do is install the driveshaft and bleed the brakes. I had to have the shaft shortened 1/2" and put a 1310 to 1330 u-joint to fit the pinion on the bigger 9" housing.
