This is my 2008 Kia Rondo. It's not a flashy sports car, it's not tricked out, and teenage boys won't have posters of it on their wall. (If they do, seek counseling for them) It is however, a really great little car that does what it was designed to very well. It is supposed to be affordable, practical, roomy and deliver a lot of standard features for the money. For me, it is the best car of any type in it's price range. You get a V6 with 182hp, nice alloy wheels, 4-wheel disk brakes with ABS and ESC, and airbags for all passengers. The stereo is decent, you can plug in your iPod or Sirius, you get power everything, cruise control and three 12v outlets. You can even upgrade to leather, a sunroof, fog lights and a nicer stereo.

As you can see, it is pretty big compared to a small SUV like the CR-V. If AWD isn't a concern for you, the Rondo has a lot more room inside than all of the small SUVs out there at $5K less on average. It is described as a mini-minivan and that is kinda true. It can even seat 7 passengers with the optional third row seats, although they had better not bring anything.

The middle seats fold flat for a really cavernous interior space, and the tailgate opens like a minivan. I added a WeatherTech mat and a pet barrier and Fido can now ride in comfort even if he is all muddy. The rear doors open wide, great for getting kids in and out of the car seats. There are also lots of spaces to store little things and put drinks. (good lord, I used to only care about 0-60 times. Someone save me...)

The interior is either silver and black or tan and black. I like the tan and black, kinda has a high-class appeal to me. You get a 5-speed tranny with an autoshift...just like in a Formula One Car! That is marketing hype, but it does come in handy from time to time.

Once I get the windows blacked out and the bling rims installed, it will look pretty cool. Right? It will look cool right? I'm still cool. Oh yeah.
