Headlight mod:

For all of you 1993-1997 Camaro guys who want to upgrade your stock lighting, this is a
great cheap mod and is very simple to do.

What you'll need:
2 High beam bulbs (9005)
2 Low beam bulbs (9006)
Epoxy, silicone, or anything similar
Pliers
Razor blade
Torx screwdriver
Tape

I got higher wattage (80w/100w -
stock is 55w/60) Hella bulbs from www.rallylights.com for $10.50 each.

Ok, to the good part.

First, get your torx screwdriver and unscrew each headlight. Be sure not to get them
mixed up....I labeled each housing with a marker, and put the brackets in order so I know
which one goes where. Once you have the headlights out, you should draw an arrow on the
housing so that you remember which way the plug is facing so that they can be reinstalled
correctly. Take the pliers, and pry each bulb out, but make sure not to squeeze the piece
that's on the glass....you'll see what I'm talking about (grab the top part). You may have
to twist and pull a little bit, but it should come out fairly easy. So now, do what you
want with the old bulbs, but make sure not to touch any bulbs with your fingers as you probably
already know. Scrape all of the old glue off of the inside and outside of the housing with the
razor blade. Use the epoxy or silicone or whatever it is you have to put the new bulbs in the
housings, butyou may want to clean off the surface of the housing with some nail polish remover
to make sure it's smooth before applying the epoxy/silicone. Once you have the bulbs in,
wrap it with tape to keep the bulb in place until the epoxy/silicone sets. I let mine
sit for two hours, then went over the outside with some silicone to make sure it's
perfectly sealed. Installation is the reverse of the removal. To get it back on properly,
position the housing in place with the bulb plugged in, then put the bracket over it to
get the bracket clipped into the two holes on the side.
Pictures are below in order.
Have fun!
