Here's my 1972 Datsun 240Z powered by a 1996 Skyline GT-R VSpec RB26DETT. It's spent nearly 4 years as a project and it's nearly done! The car was built to have all the comforts of a modern vehicle with the convenience of modern fuel injection, power windows, power seats, power remote door locks, remote alarm, modern stereo and air conditioning with the timeless classic Z car lines that only an E-Type Jag could hope to inspire.
After nearly 6 months on the rotisserie, the unibody is completely seam welded and painted.
The only way to properly undercoat the body
Every nook and cranny has been taken down to the bare metal, prepped and painted to match the body color
RB26DETT finally installed!
Euro tail lights!
JDM 3-Piece 17" Panasport racing wheels. Seriously, these are "For Race Use Only!"
255/40ZR17 Bridgestone RE760's for the street and 255/40ZR17 Hoosier R6's for the track.
Porsche 993 big brakes and fully adjustable coil-overs on all four corners.
Autometer Pro-Comp white face light weight gauges custom mounted into the factory locations with integrated turn signal, hi-beam and hazard "indicators" fabricated into the speedo face with Momo steering wheel.
Porsche 911 8-way power leather seats with matching door panels and headliner.
3" mandrel bent exhaust w/ Magnaflow muffler

Just a damn good pic
Here's a pic of my RBZ and the new 370Z cruising to Sacramento from Z Car Garage in San Jose.
The final tuning is soon to come...
