Its a good thing I had to remove it to replace the seatbelt because there was no visible rust when it was installed on the car, I can't imagine this would have done much good in the event of an accadent... Thankfully now I don't have to find out should it one day come down to that. The metal this bolt threads into remarkably is rust free. I knew my car was built in March, Thanks to the rpo codes I was able to determin it was built in the 5th week of march, So It was either built on the 29th 30th or 31st or a combination of the 3. 25 days and it will officialy be 27 years old. I'm looking foward to the car being 30 years old.Long time no update, but the weather around here hasn't exactally favored working on cars.I plan on raiding a semi local yard this weekend. Its the closest yard in the state, What luck that they specialize in firebird parts The person I spoke to said they have roughly 30 thirdgen firebirds not counting the camaros :DI am hoping at minimum to get:A fuse door with latch and springAn uncracked dash padShift trimA hatch release solinoid and switchThe trim that goes inbetween the interior c pillarsAero pannels (to replace the broken gold grills)L & R Door handle/switch podsand some misc bolts It would be a bonus if I can find a straight set of 15" turbocast rims I managed to do a few other minor improvements to the car including putting in a tempory radio since the cd radio needs to be rebuilt (volume knob is messed up) I also tracked down a short that was causing the radio to cut out and not keep time.I also installed a new delco 75 series 700 cca battery (The best delco makes) I was considering an optima red top but considering its 2x the price I would rather spend it on something else for the car. We have yet to have a delco battery leak on us so Ill take my chances. I finally got the correct t handle, I can't belive somebody had one that was new, still in the gm box.
