This project is on hold till I find another Metro, I recently traded it for a Toyota Truck with a 350 chevy, Edelbrock intake, Holley 4 barrel, HEI distributor, and a 9 inch ford. Will post it later.

This is my 1991 Geo Metro not much to look at.............yet. But hey it's only got 50,000 original miles, it's good on gas, and I traded my '96 sebring convertable that had more problems than Michal Jackson for it. Good looking car Huh??? all the more reason to hack up a good car.

3 cyl, automatic, A/C,.................looks like a golf cart.

Now for the plans, make it look less like a golf cart, give it some cahones, you know.......             I've seen many of the Geo Metro trucks and off road buggys on here and they all look sweet but they still look like golf carts. I want to go a step further.

I'm wanting to trim the fenders, and elimenate the entire frount end except for a bit of fender and add a big chrome brush bumper. and then put something different on it. REALLY DIFFERENT. Then when the frount end is begging for mercy. I'm going to weld the back doors shut, shave the back door handles, eleminate the back seat and cut the top off to make a pickup bed. Make a custom roll bar for the bed with some off road lights, add a sunroof to the remaining roof. eleminate the taillights smooth out the back and add some Jeep wrangler taillights with little chrome cages over them. Then I want to paint the whole thing medium blue with prismatic silver flames. after all that is done I might even put a full exo-cage on it.

I'm also open to sugestions what do you think? any ideas? Snorkel kit??? lift kit??? smoke stacks???

Who says hummers have to be gas hogs???

UPDATE

I scored this Hummer H2 frount hood, vent, and grill for $100 thank you craigslist.

I'm defanately doing a lift and tires but I am going to upgrade the engine and tranny a bit first. I don't think the 3 banger would turn the 22's let alone go off road with them. I'm thinking of a one of a kind engine build for it since it will be one of a kind anyway. First off, Let me tell you a bit about me. I've owned alot of cars and most of them have been diesels VW's and mercedes. I love diesel engines. That said, it got me to thinking, Diesels have a much higher compression ratio than gas engines, so I'm going to start off with a VW rabbit diesel engine then balance the crank and rods, then I'm going to change the pistons to bring the compression from the stock 21.5:1 to about 11:1 so I can safely burn pump gas. I'm then going to use a gas fuel injection VW head (I found out all the water jackets and bolts line up perfect) Use the fuel injection ports for Nitrous Oxide, build a custom intake manifold to hold a Holly 650cfm, distributor will go right where the vac. pump was, fuel injection cams are basicly a quarter grind track cam. Then use the 5 speed trans from a buddy of mine's golf project. And of corse add a turbo and some wicked diamond plate skid plates.

And if they will hold up a hemi, they'd have a nice payload for my geo/hummer/truck. also the grey beast looks sweet! I'd personally do it up like an oldschool panel wagon and put a custom shop logo on the rear window metal or make up a name for your ride and put it there in old english letters. I'm also thinking of putting some fender flares on mine or maybe bolt on some trimmed down VW bug fenders on the back with some big knobby tires BAHA HUM-BUG......LOL

Wow, that is a really good idea!!! I wish I would have thought of that. It's going to be hard to get that to look good, but if you can pull it off, it would definitely be car show material. The geo has 4 wheel independent suspension. Replace the rear coil springs with front coil springs off a 1998 dodge ram 1500 pickup truck. Cut them to fit. They will be stiff and have a harsh ride. I did this to my geo with the stereo, but the stereo was so heavy, it actually rode nice. I replaced the front geo metro struts with 1998 saturn sl-2 struts. They bolt up to the spindles. You'll have to drill some holes in the strut towers. Check out the gray geo if you haven't done so already - I have pictures of the suspension.
