THE ENGINE BUILD
Have now pulled motor out and stripped down ready for 393 stroker kit,my block was no good as it is 40 thou over,managed to obtain 351 block std bore in excellent condition ,my brother is boring it 030 for me. With the help of my brother Bob the close chamber heads are ported and polish and reshaped ,faced and fitted with bigger stainless valves.
My brother Bob custom made me 8 litre winged baffle sump.
assmbled block with new 393 crank ,rods, pistons.
assmbled heads on block using head studs.Painted engine black as it looks better than the traditional blue in the green body.
Had a few dramas mating motor up to box, extractors also where in the way.
Fired her up .Got a hard on listening to her..

The motor has achived 570hp..425kw power and 510lb/ft..680nm of torque. Have run her in ,done 4,000 miles
Took her up to 140mph (thats 230 kph for those born post metric) It takes no effort, and gets to 140 in no time.
Its just phenomenal to drive ,you can realy feel the scheer torque and horse power,you centainly know there is over 500 hp there,the noise that comes out is just bent.Sounds like thunder.
Just giving the throttle a small nudge can smoke the tyres with ease..... a real hoons delight
