Suspension Mods
After I took my car(stock) to an autocross event in Indiana some years ago, I loved the feeling of throwing the car into a corner, so i've been working on the suspension a bit. It's almost done too.
Currently the car's riding lowered on Hotchkis SRT-4 lowering springs, w/ Monroe Sensatrac SRT-4 struts(which is what allows me to run the 225/45 tires). Also included in the mods is my Hotchkis sway bars, which you can see the rear bar in the brake swap pics.
I've been driving on the springs for about 2 years now, and the sway bars for about 5 months. I couldn't be happier in a spring/bar combination. I absolutely love the positive feel I get from the car. It's a little more harsh than some people would like, but I prefer to feel the road.
While i'm doing the brake swap, I'm also changing out most of the old suspension bushings. I've changed the front lower control arm bushings before, but I'm not at all happy with them. The new set is a complete Prothane master kit (so obviously what they're replacing is not prothane), which i've used before. This is now the 3rd set of aftermarket bushings going on the car.....I drive Cheri hard, what can I say?
The rear control arms and bushings will eventually be replaced someday. I'm goin to get the SBC/NAPA/Mopar adjustable control arms to replace the cheap crap stamped steel bars currently back there. I'll replace the outboard bushings while i'm changing out the rear tension struts for a set of the Mopar Performance rear tension struts (which funny enough, i'm going to also replace the bushings on those with the Prothane's, they're stiffer)
Unfortunatly, I don't really have ANY pics for this page, sorry.
