The 40 after getting some much needed rear spring work,nose to nose with my buddy Dale's 62 Chevy Biscayne. Both cars have 454ci engines in them.
Rear shot of the 40, it has a 70 camaro 12bolt posi with 373 gears.
As you can see from the side, the fenders have been modified to accomadate the side pipes and the fact that during it's racing years the rear end was moved forward.
This was an old drag car, as you can see the headlights were removed for racing and filled in . The headlights as you see are now in behind the grill in order to make it street legal.
The car still has the old knee action front end and was modified with disc brakes for a little more stopping power.
The paint looks better in pics, but the old red,white and blue was pretty cracked up. This summer it was bead blasted and primer sealed to protect the body until painted.
The 40 was and still is a driveable project as it needs much attention. It's a blast to drive with the 454 and a turbo 350 with shift kit.

Hi there. I'm fairly new to this site. I'm loving the community here, so I want to contribute to everyone this article I read that really changed my life financially.
