Bought this 72 El Camino back in 1999. Pretty much wanted a nice daily driver. It came with a stock rebuilt 350, auto, power disc, etc. I put stock rallys on it till I bought new rims for my Chevelle, then I put the Weld Draglites on it. The paint on this is a factory two tone paint. Farely rare for the 72 models. These were made late in 1972 as sort of a test for the next year model colors.

As you can see.....I do use it as a truck. i hauled everything from doors for my house to lumber for a deck. I also picked up my new motor from the machine shop for my Chevelle.

Got bored and bought a set of Coys 17x8" rims and made the truck handle even better. Still want to get some aftermarket rear control arms and want to upgrade to rear disc sometime in 2009.

Motor done on stand. I had it punced .040 over, cooked, balanced with TRW forged flat tops (about 10:1 compression). Kept the stock 1.94/1.50 heads, but got them freshened up. Also re-used the Comp Cams .480/.500 solid lift. Topped it off with a freebie Edelbrock Performer RPM intake (good friend) and a hand me down 650 double pumper Holley carb that was used on my old motor in my Chevelle.
