This is my (almost) all-original 1968 Mercedes 280S.

Carbureated I-6 , Manual Transmission.

"Dark Olive" color, black interior.

The only un-original modifications to the car are the alarm system and the window tint, both of which the previous owner installed and I personally like on the car.

I am considering building a small, removable console under the dashboard for a new Alpine radio, and installing Alpine speakers to replace the factory radio, all while leaving the Becker Europa head unit in the dash.

I fell in love when I saw that gleaming tri-star on the hood. It looks so sophisticated. Hey, it is my first Mercedes, I didn't realize how big a smile I would get when behind the wheel!

Very nice ride. About your sound system upgrade. I just run a tiny mp3 player that lays in the center console. It is run to 2 amps, one for the sub and the other for the other speakers. I also have the Becker Europa, but this way I didn't have to find a secret stach place for a head unit. Best of luck, check out my ride.

Thanks for checking out my wagon, Brian. The one-piece window glass is the way it was originally. The previous owner converted it into that aquarium-looking split glasses probably to save on replacement cost. It does look way cooler now. Nice classic Benz you got there. What are your plans for it? That one looks like a good project to start with, being 99% original. Good luck with it. Cheers!!!
