UPDATE 09-24-09
ALOHA! Well guys, it's been a while. Our baby boy Kainoa will be born in December 8 and I have been busy working and raising our three kids :) I have not had any time for my Z and she sat in the garage for about two years now. Anyway, I don't know what it is but I just got this motivation to dust her off and get her ready for a fresh coat of paint. I want to get the car in a state that she was before I moved to Hawaii. Since shipping the car here, it has developed some rust which has gone untouched for about 2 years. Needless to say, I will have some body work to do :( Good thing is, it can all be fixed :) I'm planning on going two tone this time. Black up top and original white on the sides and of course the Legendary Datsun side stripes :) I know this will be a huge project for me as I really need to juggle my time these days. It will take some time but the overall outcome will be Awesome! I'll take some pics as I go...it will look ugly but it's part of the transition :) Mahalo Nui!

Just for fun :)
NEW IMAGES! 5-31-07
ALOHA Everyone! Here are some new photos taken recently of the Z.
These images where taken from our drive to Waimea and the winding high elevated roads of Hawi (Havi) It was an awesome place to play. Cool breezes and beautiful scenery made for a relaxing drive. I was able to sneak in some spirited driving around some tight bends and was able to open up a little on the clear highway. Got flashed by unmarked Camaro police cars going the oposite way as I got carried away with the throttle...a little excitement and we realize that it was the same officers that waved at us in Waimea earlier in the day. Anyway, it was a blast and it was really one of the first trips in a while that my wife and I got away from our kids to have a little fun with the Z...just like old times :)
These where taken on my front yard.
From my porch.
My next car :) Lotus Elise or Exige. Picture taken on our business trip to San Francisco.

UPDATE 10-04-06
ALOHA! Here's the first set of pics from the Z's new stomping grounds. I'm totally happy to have my Z back and enjoying every minute of it :) I got the house and the land too...and we just had our third child. Her name is Alana Aiko (new fam pics on pg13) it's been a great year!

UPDATE 6-21-06
ALOHA Everyone! I have been living in the Big Island of Hawaii without my Z for the past year now...sigh...BUT she is finally on the boat Hawaii bound! I CANNOT WAIT! I have new plans for the car this year which will include a t4 turbo and possibly some Nitrous thrown into the mix. I'm buying a house/land this year too so we'll see what happens.
Much mahalos to Jerry R. and family for babysitting my Z for the past year. I don't know where my car would have ended up if it wasn't for you guys. When everyone else turned their backs, you guys stepped up. I will never forget...
STAY TUNED!

Hello everyone...this page is about my 83 280zx turbo. She's currently running 11psi street mode and 20psi race mode. I have done a lot of custom mods to this car and it has been an ongoing project for three years now. I auto cross this car when ever I get a chance and street race occasionally. The car is not set up for drag racing so I seldom race from light to light. Freeway racing is another story lol. Anyway, check out some pics and check back when you get a chance as I will keep adding new pics as I acquire them.
Nitro Powered RC car page on page 11. Check them out!
(Update) September 7, 2005: haven't done much to my Z as of late since I moved to Hawaii. The Z is stored at a good friends house until I can ship it. It's been five months + since I moved and I haven't seen or driven my Z since then...can't wait to get it here. Till then, here are some shots I took a week before I left for Hawaii along with pics of our new stomping grounds. Mahalo!
(Update 2) September 7, 2005: Added pics from the Motortrend Show in Las Vegas on page 12.
Paradise!
The last pics from Vegas
This pic was taken fresh out of the garage after sitting on stands for almost two months. Pictures are on page 9
UPDATE: 9.19.03 IT'S AAAALLLIIIVVVEE!!! hehe. Well, the clutch is in, the motor is in, and she roars with authority. It has been a fun and at times frustrating experience but I couldn't have done it without the help of my Dad and friends Jerry, Dave, TJ, Francisco, Carlos and Martin. Thanks for all the help guys! It was a great learning experience and I have officially removed and repaired almost every part of this car. How many people can say that lol. Anyway, check out the pics on page 9. I'll have more when I actually take her out and the engine cleaned and finished.
UPDATE: 8.20.03 No new pics as of yet but it looks like I will be swapping the motor you see above into my Z in about two weeks. I was originally going to just swap out the head but the motor is so nice, it wouldnt make much sence to take it apart. I also just purchased a Spec Stage 2 clutch (good for about 450 foot pounds of torque, more than enough to handle my Z) and I will be doing that install once I have everything out. I spent two days this weekend just polishing and detailing the new motor. I have also taken the head out to inspect the pistons ect...well, let just say that it's stamped and they shine like new. I'm now just realizing what a find this motor has become. Needless to say it's safe to say that this motor has 0 miles. I'm going to try and pull out my stocker this weekend so I can spend the week after work cleaning and detailing the engine bay...and of course I have to take a pic of me in the engine compartment...it's like an initiation thing...almost every die hard Z owner I know has at least one pic ;) I used to cringe at the idea of pulling my motor out but looks like I will be doing it sooner than I thought. As for the stock engine, I will not be selling it or any parts off of it...it will be re-built cleaned and stored for future use. If things pan out for the other turbo engines Im currently looking at, I might have as many as three of them in my garage shortly. Just cant keep enough spare parts for these cars...especially since junk yards are crushing them....
Here's some info about the new motor:

UPDATE: 8.12.03 Added pictures of the rebuilt $150.00 motor I got from the pick and pull here in Vegas + some seats I just installed.
