sixliter64's 1964 Pontiac Catalina     NOW SHE'S A CALIFORNIAN

GOT HER HOME AND WITH A JUMPSTART I WAS SUPPRISED IT RAN. OF COURSE THE FIRST TIME AROUND THE BLOCK I HAD TO WALK HALF WAY HOME AND FINALLY GET HELP TO PUSH THE REST.

TOOK THE LIGHTS,BUMPER AND TRUNK LID  OFF TO GET STARTED ON RUST. THE TRUNK LID SOUNDS LIKE A RAIN MAKER WHEN ITS OPENED, PRETTY WASTED

SELF ETCHING PRIMER IN THE DIRT AFTER 3 WEEKENDS OF SANDING.THE TRUNK LID WAS THE ALREADY STRAIGHT PART OF THE CAR, SO THE REST WILL PROBALLY TAKE TEN YEARS TO GET PRIMERED. MY SON WILL BE 14 AND READY TO STEAL IT.

THE UNDERSIDE OF LID I SPRAYED WITH A CHEAP ORCHARD SPRAYER AND THE TOP WITH A EXPENSIVE HPLV SPRAYER. NOTICE THE TOP HAS ORANGE PEEL. THERES TOO MANY DAMN KNOBS ON THE HPLV. I BETTER STICK TO THE CHEAP GUNS FOR THE INEXPERIENCED. I FIGURE I COULD SCREW UP THE PRIMER AS LONG AS I GET IT BY THE TIME I GET TO THE HOOD.

ANY ADVISE FOR WHO TO USE INSTALLING THE BACK WINDOW? I HAVE THE GLASS BUT NEED THE RUBBER AND SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEIR DOING,,

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE COMMENTS

Nice project. I love the 60s 2 door hardtops. Just starting to restore my 68 Cat as a beginner. Best of luck on your project. She'll be a great car when she's done.

Hey Steve I seen your post on my page sorry I didn't get back right away I haven't been on Cardomain in awhile. As far as I can tell 62 seats will bolt into a 64. I don't have any interior pics at the moment other than the old ones when we pulled the carpet. I have a bench right now in really good shape but I have put a big block in mine now and have decided to go with leather buckets and a center console.Your ride is very sharp and looks really clean that's how mine was that's one reason I love mine so much is just how solid it is after all these years. Good Luck and I hope you get it done before 10 years lol, I've been on mine for 7 and i'm in the business just never have time for my own we're hopeing this summer we'll be all done and at the shows finally.
