You are looking at an absolute showstopper. One of a kind. Coolest Corvair in the country. Every car show we go to, it's an absolute riot to see the reaction you get from people. This car gets a lot of love. It's been called the coolest Corvair ever I can't tell you how many times. It's received many prestigious rewards, best in shows and multiple magazine spreads.
About the car..
-It's a 1966 Chevy Corvair 500. 165 c.i. 110 hp.
-The LS 7 is a 7.0l 505 hp cover.
-The 6 cylinder however does have a Protronics ignition and Offenhauser polished oil pan and valve covers.
-The exhaust system is a custom built set up of Ceramic coated headers with Harley Davidson baffles.
-It has 15,750 actual original miles and gets 21 miles to the gallon.
-The interior is 100% Italian leather.
-Shaved door handles with electric solenoids and poppers.
-Air suspension professionally installed. The rear suspension was totally cut, narrowed, tubbed and redesigned to fit the FAT 18x10" wheels.
-The Vair air compressor and air tank are hidden behind aluminum panels in the engine compartment.
-The front suspension was also reworked with S-10 A-arms.
-The air controls are the station selector buttons in the old AM radio.
-The rear wheels are 18x10" Budnik Famosa custom built with speed rated low profile directional tires.
-The front wheels are 18x 8” Budnik Famosa with speed rated low profile directional tires.
-All of the bodywork was done by the current owner. No rust
-The paint job was designed on House of colors "digital paint booth". (They used this car for their program).
-The paint was applied by Ray Van. A custom painter in Michigan.
-The pin striping was done by Bock of "Brush by Bock". Undoubtedly the best in Michigan.
-The seats were done by Willy's rod shop in Michigan.
-The rest of the interior was done by the owner.
-The interior is Dynamatted
-It has a JVC AM/FM/CD/USB head unit, 800 watt amp for the subs, two 10" Sony X-Plod subwoofers, Two 5" Sony 4 way and 2 Polk audio 4" 2 way speakers. Needless to say it sounds great.
-The brakes have all new shoes and cylinders
-The engine compartment with the faux LS 7 was done by the current owner; the aluminum surround was done professionally. Needless to say the engine compartment provides a lot of entertainment.
-The trunk up front is also nicely finished off too.
-The rear taillights are from a 1950 Pontiac.
