My first year of owning the truck my bother and I entered it in the smoke show contest at the annual Northern Tire Event held in Colebrook NH. We had more smoke from one tire then any other vehicle that day, including camero's that hooked up both tires. Maybe it was because we had no body on the back and held the petal to the metal until the tire blew. Surprisingly the rear-end held together. also not the custom paint job, silver flames on cold blue.

After the smoke show contest we fitted the truck with a custom flatbed, foglights, and named the truck BLOW"N SMOKE. At this stage in its life the truck was starting to burn oil on start up. We painted the truck again for the third time since we owned it and placed new winter tires on it.

The flat bed is an old snowmachine trailer mounted on 4x4 blocks of wood bolted to the frame. I built my own head rack and mounted my own side lights. It is one of the best looking flat bed trucks I've seen and was extremely usefull. I've hauled three fullsized freezers to the scrapyard at once.

I'm a volunteer fire fighter for fun while I'm attending college. we got bored one day and mounted an huge water canon to the back of the flatbed. We hooked up two 2.5" lines to the gun and fired it off the back of the truck. As can be seen the gun on my little truck put out more water then our class-I pumper.
We fiqured the water to be raising at least 100 feet.

For more fun we repainted the truck for the fourth time. this time around the truck was named "E-8" for Engine 8. The truck was initiated into the fire dept. apparatus.

As everyone knows the harsh winters and roads take thier toll on vehicles in New England. The frame of my trusty pickup developed several cracks and eventually broke clean just forward of the rear spring shackle. I welded the truck multiple times and continued running it. I welded the shock brackets together just to keep them from spreading apart.

E-8 is now retired to a "farm tuck", but is still used around the house. We added larger tires and rims and some rumble seats in the back for fun. We love bombing around the backroads adn hunting with it. The frame now has more steal added to it then was originaly used.
