The S10 Project
Recent Updates:
Nov 24, 2009 - Originally I was planning on putting money into the motor this past summer since I maxed out my injectors when I turned the boost up to 15 PSI, however, I came across a deal I could not pass up.... I found an Isuzu Hombre in NC which was clean with no rust but had no title and did not run. I bought the truck and combined the two trucks using the Isuzu body and everything else I has in the S10............... I was going to just swap the motor, suspension etc and drive the truck this summer... however, I decided that since I was going to have the truck stripped down to nothing it would make sense to do a few more modifications to it that I had been wanting to do.... This includes a 2.5" bodydrop so the body of the truck is even with the frame, chopping the top - 5.5" in the back and 6.5" in the front leaving the overall height of the truck at 49.5" tall for the time being... Im currently working on uploading pictures - planning on having them up this week
Quick history...
I bought the truck at the end of 2005 as a winter vehicle, however, it soon turned into my project when i decided it was a much better platform then my civic. I had done my first turbo kit on the civic and liked it alot so i decided to turbo the S10 but then I blew the motor. That got me thinking about doing a motor swap. I didnt want to do a V8 since that is the most common swap, so i decided to go with a 6 cylinder turbo. Somehow I was brainstorming of what motor i could use that would be unique and landed on the Skyline motor. So I sold the civic and bought a RB25DET from an R33 Skyline GTS-T...
