This is my 1969 AMC Javelin. It was imported in late 1969 to be raced in Australia. It has the 1970 style front suspension, unfortunately the car came over as a basic shell ready to be assembled for racing so I haven't got many of the original parts for it, the person originally importing it never ended up getting the car onto the race track, it got turned into a daily driver with a 302 in it for a while before we rescued it and at least it has a 360 ci AMC engine in it now, although I'm gathering parts to put together a hot 390 when finances permit.
The 360 in it at the mo
ment has a torquer intake and a 272° cam with ported exhaust manifolds and a 680 CFM carter on it. The bottom end is stock, out of a Matador and is well over due for the stock rings being replaced. But it still gets 220 hp to the wheels, which isn't much on a quarter mile but makes it competetive on a lot of hill climbs.
