These first 4 pictures are from the day I brought it home. It needed a lot of work, but the price was right for how great of shape the body is in. There was NO rust on this car, the exhaust was the only thing even a little rusty and that actually came apart easier than any other minnesota car I've worked on. Interior is also in very good shape with only a small tear in the driver seat, the rest cleaned up very nicely. The engine was the bad on this car, first problem was it was an N/A S5 13b and the 2nd was it had no compression on the rear rotor. This was reason enough for me to decide on a drivetrain swap to an S5 13b-t engine.
The swap was done by me and my friend Brian (who I never would have gotten through it without, thanks a lot bud). He came up one weekend and we pulled out the N/A engine and then I ordered my replacement from Japan2LA on rx7club.com. I highly recommend this guy, very patient in answering all my questions regarding the motor and even gives a 30 day start up guarentee. He is also 1 of the only people selling these JDM rotories that has the proper equipment to test compression. Anyway, after the motor came in we spent another weekend dropping the new one in. I am still using the N/A drivetrain, but that will be fixed this winter with a full S4 TII drivetrain (trans back) being installed in the car.
